My wife and kids have made two trips to the world. Our first stay was at the Carribean Beach. We had a very nice stay, we asked for and recieved a preferred room location, that helped beacuse it was close to the main market, resturant, and themed pool as well as close to a bus stop. When we planned our second trip my initial inclination was to stay there again because we had enjoyed it so much.
Pros of CBR: very pretty, preferred room option was great. Plenty of seating
in the counter service area of the resturant. Service was great
Cons of CBR: the sit down resturant is very small, the counter service dining
choices are limited. theme pool is small
(I know the con list is longer but we really liked this resort)
My wife decided that she would like to try somthing new so we chose the Coronado Springs Resort. They do not have preferred rooms. We did request a building close to the main market, resturant area and got one.
Pros of CSR:

very big theme pool with cool water slide, very pretty
grounds The market is very nice as are the dining options.
The Counter Service choices are much broader than at the CBR
and the sit down resturant is much bigger. this is due to this
Resort being Disney's convention Center. Service was great
here too.
Cons of CSR:This is Disney's Convention Center. There were a couple of
groups there while we were there. I guess this turns some
people off. We didnt mind at all. One of the groups were law
enforcment folks and it made you feel safe. the resort is also
very

big. If you dont have a room close to the main
area its a long walk.
Im in the process of convincing my wife we should go back next summer 08, after taking a year off and being rather depressed with no disney this year, Im hoping to be successful. If we return its either Coronado or Animal Kingdom if I can get enough points on my Disney rewards visa card.
by the way, a co worker of mine has always enjoyed the Port Orleans resort. but i dont have any specific info on that we havent tried it yet
the Magic Express Service is denfinitley worth it and I would reccomend that it play a part in your resort choice. We checked our bags here in syracuse and didnt see them again until they got to our room, on our return trip we checked our baggage at the resort and didnt deal with them again until the airport at home, its great!
2005 Carribean Beach Resort 6 nights
2006 Coronado Springs 7 nights
Good Luck and have fun!
hello.
For my first trip to WDW we are unsure of which hotel to stay at. This is where i require your opinions.
The options are:
-Port Orleans French Quarter (mainly for price, location is an issue)
-Wilderness Lodge ( price is attractive, but location an issue again)
-Boardwalk Inn (for location, like this one the most)
-Caribean Beach Resort (mainly for price)
-Swan/Dolphin (mainly for price but the fact that we wont be able to use
ME is a BIG factor as we will be coming from London)
I know there is alot of options but its very hard to choose. So this is why we need your help.
Thanks for any advice.
