We are looking for a good hotel near BWI with park and fly rates and an airport shuttle. We fly out at 715 a.m. , and live a little over an hour away from the airport, so I'd really like to be closer that morning.

Anybody have any suggestions as to hotels with good services to BWI? I've checked a few prices, and the Microtel comes up pretty cheap, but I don't have any experience with this chain.

Thanks in advance!

I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton BWI Airport. Its located right on the property. They do have a shuttle service. I would allow yourself some time for the shuttle though. We had to wait a few minutes for some business people running late. Its a business hotel serving those flying in and out. Overall it was clean.
The Marc and Amtrak are close by. I took the Marc from DC then a shuttle to the airport and then finally the hotel. Its only a few minutes from Marc/Amtrak BWI stop to the airport and hotel. Sorry no information on the parking situation.

LaQuinta does the Park and Fly at BWI, I'm not sure of the rates. Their van leaves at 20 and 50 past the hour and takes 10-15 minutes to get to the airport.

I just booked the Sleep Inn BWI park and fly deal for July. sounds like a decent place for $134.

We have stayed at the Sheraton, Comfort Suites, and La Quinta. Of the 3 we found the Sheraton's rooms the smallest, but it is the most convenient of the 3. The past 2 times we stayed at the Comfort Suites. We stayed in a room that had 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. This worked for us because then I didn't have to listen to my kids fighting while sleeping in the same bed. They each had their own bed. It's been several years since we stayed at the La Q, but it was a nice hotel. Each hotel charged us $5 a day to leave our car on their lot while we were on our trip. All 3 have shuttles. The CS and La Q both have complimentary breakfasts, the Sheraton didn't

We like the BWI Springhill Suites. They have great park & fly rates on the weekend and the rooms are spacious. They are one street back off the main highway (same street as Holiday Inn). Their shuttle has always been great for us.

We live in western MD so it's a 2.5 hour drive just for us to get to BWI. We did the park and fly at the Four Points Sheraton last week, and it was great. The shuttle was waiting for us at the lobby when we came downstairs at 5am (we had a 7:15am flight), and he dropped us off right at the Southwest doors. When we returned we called as soon as we had our bags, it only took about 5-10 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up, and he took us right to our vehicle in the parking lot! It only ended up costing us about $30 more than parking alone at long-term would have been, and it's very convenient. :thumbsup2

Thanks. Totally OT, but I see you live in Frostburg. I went to college there. It's a beautiful town, and I had a really good time there. Probably too good if you were to ask my parents.;)
