hotel help for Paris

posted this on the Disneyland thread too but noones replied yet , hoping someone here can help

looking to go to Paris for DH 50th Birthday this July as a surprize taking in the end of the Tour de France
which would be the best area to stay and any one any favourite hotel to share
as usual looking for cheap clean and cheerful
noticed that expedia are given free 1 day tickets to disneyland too so planning on booking with them

I have stayed in a nice hotel in Montmatre. I cant remember the name of it but it was a beautiful area and very central. I have also stayed in a holiday inn type place on the other side which was nice but didnt feel as french to me. Good luck and thanks for the expeida tip. I am going to go have a look now as I love Paris but have never been to DLP.
