My DH and I made a reservation at Swan and Dolphin months ago, and we were able to get the AP rate. Now, my 6 year old granddaughter is coming with us. When I tried to call Swan and Dolphin to get her added, they told me I'd have to cancel my current reservation and make a new one, but when I do this, I will lose my AP rate and pay much more for the same exact room. However, if I don't get her added, we won't be able to schedule her Genie+ at 7:00 AM with ours, and she won't be able to get into early morning magic hours, right? Does anyone have any suggestions?
 
I am incredulous that you have to make a new reservation to add a 6 year-old child to a reservation. That smacks of opportunism to me.

I think I would call Marriott Bonvoy and ask about adding her to the reservation through them. I have no idea if that would work, but I would give it a try.
