Hotel for Universal or Not?

We went to universal today (Tuesday) from our Anaheim hotel. It took us an hour and half to get there. We left around 6:30am. We were done around 3pm but stayed to watch Water World. Took about 2 hours to drive back. It was worth it but I don't feel compelled to go back anytime soon.

Yes, my husband drove us. Our Waze app gave us a few detours to minimize traffic but there were areas near LA where we just sat in traffic not moving.
