Hello

I would like to take our family of 2 adults and 4 kids for a night at a hotel with a pool in Toronto (what's more fun than a hotel with a pool? ;) ) but I'm a bit stuck...most only sleep 4. Does anyone have any ideas about a nice hotel that won't break the bank? We'll be going to the Science Centre so a bit east would be better than a bit west but I'm not in a position to be too choosy...

Hoping for some pixie dust! :wizard:

Thanks!!

Beth :surfweb:

I can't confess to staying here personally - but my BIL, his wife and three kids did late last year. Perhaps do a check online for rates/deals and reviews? They got their pricing through a "deal" site - something under $150/night + parkig. I know it had a pool, and the rooms offered a kitchenette sort of setup. BIL was happy, since it offered enough space to avoid the family strife!

THanks - just tried to price that and it came up at $499!! :scared1::scared1:

I'll have to poke around hotwire... :)

GAH!!

I've just sent my BIL another message, asking him how he secured his rate. He's on the road tonight, so I expect I'll know more come morning.

Thanks! I appreciate it. And when I bring it up at home, the response will be...'you do realize we're already going on two disney trips this year...' :rotfl::rotfl:

I hear you - budget, budget, budget

When in doubt, call SIL ;) She informed me they bought a certificate "thingy" off a site like Groupon. She does not remember which one specifically, but it made the stay affordable. She also mentioned when she ran pricing initially, Expedia had MUCH better rates then via the hotels themselves. She also played around with Priceline, but they were slightly higher.

If it helps, there is apparently a website called Six Suitcase Travel - and it's directed for those with larger families. She used it to source out options for the Toronto stay. Might be of use to you?

Good Luck!!

Hilton Homewood suites and Marriott Residence Inn, have 2 bedroom suites and if you book one of the Markham properties it is a pretty easy drive to the Science Centre, 10-15 minutes and not as expensive at downtown.
