Hotel Cheyenne in January

Has anyone stayed at Hotel Cheyenne during the winter? I am deciding between this hotel & Sequoia Lodge. Am wondering if "no air-con" means "unable to control temperature" in the rooms. Are the rooms at Cheyenne a lot smaller than at Sequoia?

When we first went temp was minus and DD was 11months. Room had thermostat which we made good use off

No sure about room size but for proximity to the park you might prefer Sequoia Lodge. The photographs of the open fire look very inviting

One thing to bear in mind about the Cheyenne in winter, is that none the rooms are in the same building as the reception, restaurant and shop - so once you leave your room you always have to go outside to get anywhere.

If you stay in the main lodge at Sequoia - in a Montana room - then you can still stay cosy if the weather gets really bitter.
