Has anyone stayed at Hotel Cheyenne during the winter? I am deciding between this hotel & Sequoia Lodge. Am wondering if "no air-con" means "unable to control temperature" in the rooms. Are the rooms at Cheyenne a lot smaller than at Sequoia?

When we first went temp was minus and DD was 11months. Room had thermostat which we made good use off :thumbsup2

No sure about room size but for proximity to the park you might prefer Sequoia Lodge. The photographs of the open fire look very inviting :goodvibes

One thing to bear in mind about the Cheyenne in winter, is that none the rooms are in the same building as the reception, restaurant and shop - so once you leave your room you always have to go outside to get anywhere.

If you stay in the main lodge at Sequoia - in a Montana room - then you can still stay cosy if the weather gets really bitter.
