Some of the hotel restaurants list character dining and some other activities on the web site. What’s the low down on these character meals/activities? I'd like to hit a few of them, but the information available seems very limited. My kids would love to cook at the "kitchen" but it doesn't list what night that happens, same with the magician. I also don't see what characters appear at the restaurants. Anyone have a good idea of who/what/when and where things happen at the hotel dining locations??

Since you have been waiting, and nobody has answered, i will try....

First, I'm not much help cuz we don't eat at the hotels...dunno why....just don't.

We HAVE eaten at Confisco's at IOA for the Spiderman character breakfast tho. Character interaction is great cuz it's a small restaurant. Spidey talks w/ you and Thing 1 & 2 are there, as is Cat in the Hat. Buffet has everything you could imagine for breakfast (I believe my review and pix are in my Feb. Epcot/Universal TR linked in my sig below).....

I have heard Scooby and Woody are at the other character meals in the hotels...maybe Shaggy too :confused3

I'm really no help, but we can keep this first page and maybe someone will be along.....

Thanks for the effort....seems info on those meals are hard to come by for some reason. I guess I'll become the expert if/when I goto one of them.

Yep....UO doesn't "hype" character meals like Disney does (prolly cuz Disney HAS more characters to go around  )

Anyhow, if you were to call the hotel(s), they could give you more info on them...they would prolly be the best to contact regarding that.... 888-273-1311 ....good luck! :thumbsup2

I was having dinner at the Kitchen with my siblings, my nephew, a couple of aunts and a cousin or two, and much to our surprise, Shrek wandered up to our table. I think it was a Saturday night. We had no idea it was a character meal. :rotfl: My 9 year old nephew thought it was great since he was the only kid there. There was another character or two, but I don't remember who.

I'm at the HRH on Friday, so I guess I'll find out then....I want to do the "kids cooking" if possible! It is advertised on the site, but no day of the week and/or what it involves....

We had dinner at the RPR islands restaurant, Shaggy and scooby where there along with a witch doctor.

Thanks for that Barb, was lookiing at my notes but could not find the ones for about 5 of the days.

dpuck1998, going by the days in the trippie i think it was probably aTuesday.

Barb did i read somewhere you are staying at PBH next year, and not the RPR.
I have RPR booked for next year again, and got to use my new Loews card.

Do you like my new signature.

Hey Robert.....

You probably have the 'default' on the forum set. If you go to the second page of the Trip Reports board and at the bottom on the left (Display Options) it says: FROM THE {Last Month....in a dropdown box}...click on the dropdown box and add more days/posts to the thread and and then click the box next to it that says: "Show Threads"....you'll be able to go back and find your earlier days...(that's how I found it).

I did notice your new sig....nice "lime" green colors ;)

Whipped out that Plat card for a suite upgrade, eh?? Sweeeeettttt :goodvibes

We are staying at PB next year because my Mom is coming with us and we'll need the more room....will try to get a suite at checkin, but not holding my breath.... maybe we'll stay the first 2 nights at Hard Rock and the second 3 at PB :scratchin... not sure...but will have to make up mind tonite.....

Already have a meet in mind for next summer....and getting your DW to ride Hulk w/ us :thumbsup2 We'll have to keep tabs on who else will be there....altho, we're doing a 'split-stay'...so, we'll be there the end of June and the beginning of July....I might have TWO meets  :rotfl:

Thanks for that info, wondered why i had only 2 pages showing, will reset it now.

Yep got my free suite upgrade:yay: , great getting something for nothing.

changed my dates , thought i had already done this, but its sorted. We arrive 30th June, so think you are on your cruise at that time , so will see you when you get back. DW is looking forward to that:rotfl2:

My daughter, Lucy, did the cooking at The Kitchen last year. It was making a pizza and should have cost $12 - because there was only her doing it they didn't charge me....not even for the pizza. I am positive it was on a Sunday afternoon at about 4pm.

Here are some photos that the chef took for me!
