We are travelling to WDW by car and heading down the I-75 south. I'd love to spend a day in Tennessee if anyone has a hot spot for our family to visit I'd appreciate your advise.:smooth:

You should pickup the Along I-75 book by Dave Hunter, it is full of great tips, places to stay, to eat along with with many adventure sidetrips. It is published and updated yearly and sells for around $25. It is also a roadside trip planer like the CAA triptiks only better. We stopped off in Chattanooga, nearby is the incline railway and Rock City where on a good day you can see 7 states. Have fun on your trip.

Good Morning,

I love to spend time in Tennessee. What time of year are you going? We like to go to Pigeon Forge every year or so. It's about a three quarters of an hour in the opposite direction of your travel from Knoxville. There are four or five outlet malls there, go kart places, Dollywood, shows, shows and more shows, and then there's Gatlinburg, which to me is like Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls. However, this is not really on the way to Florida and you could spend your whole vacation there. Therefore I would recommend the Lost Sea at Exit 60. It's an underground cave. Takes a few hours to go through. It's a nice way to break up the day though.

If you're going in the fall the mountains are absolutely gorgeous when the leaves are changing colours.

We too love the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Lots of shopping and things to do. We went down in the caves there and up in a helicopter-both were terrifying for me since I hate hieghts and flying, and I hate being under the ground. The DK's and DH loved both these things. When we drive to Disney, we always stop in Chatanooga(East Ridge) It makes for a nice drive the next day.

I would say Chattanooga. Because we have lot things for familys to do. We have a minor league baseball team called the Chattanooga Lookouts, Tennesse Aquarium, IMAX Theater, Warehouse Row outlet, Hamilton Place Mall, and of course Ruby Falls and Rock City.

If was me I would head to Atlanta they have everthing. The other choice is Pigeon Forge is a nice area to.

If need any information on Chattanooga PM me and give prices for TN Aquarium and IMAX theaher and Chattanooga Lookouts baseball park.
