i did dinner package and I still had to get there an hour before show time...the amphitheatre was packed. I got there early and sat and like 30minutes to the show it was packed house. crazy.

Well, none of the discounts cover my dates (haven't gone past Feb. 17 for room only discounts yet and free dining is blacked out) and Southwest hasn't published their fares. Sigh... worst case scenario is that I'll try and get a AAA discount applied, but I have a LOT of time between now and February for more discounts to be released. Plus, I have to admit that I am secretly holding out for a 4/3 deal! Sigh.

I hope you get the discount you are hoping for. For us, it was the fd this time. If it had not been released, we would not be going. At least, you are going either way, right? hang in there...you have some time. Maybe the 4/3 (with a gift card like in 09) will come up???

Southwest now has the airfare listed. I'm a little scared to check what the fare will be for that week. I'm going the same week but staying on my DVC points at AKL.

Personal Update: My crazy neighbor lady threatened to sick her dog on my husband earlier this evening, which made me lose it in front of my son, who hugged me and made me feel like an even worse mom for not being able to keep my cool in front of him. She is a psycho, chronic alcoholic with serious, long-standing, problems. She has also made our lives hell at various points and after several months of flatly ignoring us, I am really worried she's starting her old stuff up again.

Please pray for me that she isn't and this was just her being crazy.

Disney Update: This is really a question... SW posted their February fares today and I can fly at the times I want, nonstop, for about six hundred dollars less than Jet Blue. Do I need to jump on this and book right away? I am curious to see if Disney does the 4/3 deal again and that might not come out 'till the end of September, if at all, and then I will have missed the boat on the cheap airfare, negating the whole point.

My gut is telling me to book the airfare and keep our Disney room res. the same...hopefully there will be a room-only discount for that week or I can just use my AAA discount. No matter what...WE ARE GOING!

I would jump on the airfar but book it as one way. This way if you can get a better deal and decide to stay an extra night you can just change the flight. Southwest is great with the credits.

Well, I finally sucked it up and booked out plane tickets, after I watched them go up...twice! Lesson learned about plane fare, I suppose..buy early. Can't say some of you didn't try to warn me, though!

Unfortunately, we are flying out late on Sunday, February 20...we get into MCO at around 6:30. How late can I make a reservation at Chef Mickey's? Not sure if we'll do that, but we'll have to see... we will be staying right there!

And we will be staying until Saturday now! Crazy.

Max may change how he feels about the beach by next summer he is still young my ds did'nt like it at that age but loved it a couple years later. Where did you stay at Cape Cod? Sorry to hear about the crazy neighbor. It's nice that you are getting to stay at the Contemporary, we loved CSR but I see the appeal of the Deluxes. I like the pics I have seen of their pool, DH and I were disapointed when they closed the Concourse steakhouse loved eating there while the monorails passed over. I'm sorry to hear the discounts did'nt work in your favor, maybe something will become available for your dates. Your plans all sound great Max is going to love it! Linda

Hi! I can see how Max might grow to like the beach...at least I hope he starts liking water at some point. I suppose there are some people who never become "beach people," my husband being one of them. Oh, well, as I said, just another reason to go to Disneyworld! As for the Cape, we stayed in Orleans, the town we've been staying in for years, its about halfway up (or out).

The Concourse Steakhouse sounds like it was really good. Too bad it's gone. But I've heard good things about the Wave, too.

We had a later dinner at CM on one of our trips the night we arrived and some of the food seemed like it had been sitting under the heat lamps, it was dissapointing for our first disney meal of our trip. You may want to consider somewhere else your first night if its a later meal. Linda

Just got back from a wedding and a stay at a Westin in New Jersey. The wedding was beautiful and fun, too bad we had to leave early to book it back to CT so we could both go to work tomorrow morning! I have a few thoughts to share about our stay at the Westin, where the rack rate is $400/night! CRAZY...which makes me wonder if anyone pays full price at any hotel, anywhere, anymore. Anyway, I will share my thoughts and post some pictures, possibly tomorrow.
