Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog! LINK TO TRIP REPORT!!!

I wonder if I could do my entire report using song lyrics for chapter titles? :lmao: Probably.

Anyway... some BIG changes for the trip that is only twenty four days away! And I thought I was done with changes. :lmao: No, seriously. I really did.

Guess. not...

We still get in on the 19th and are having dinner at Garden Grill with Chip and Dale. I doubt we will make it to Illuminations that night. In fact, I think I'm going to plan on us not going that night because...

We are meeting MickeyNicki and Dizneeat for breakfast at Cape May the next morning. I cannot believe that this happening! :thumbsup2 I knew I would meet Karin and Tom and I was really looking forward to that....but now we get to meet Nicki and her husband, too? Seriously? Wow. Talk about some major pixiedust:!

I had teased Nicky about coming up in February....didn't think it would actually happen. Wow.

And Karin, Tom, and I are still planning on going to evening EMHs at MK that night! :scared1:

More details to folllow...as I had to rearrange a few other things, too! :lmao:
But, to be honest, I'm so excited to be meeting new friends and getting to make last minute changes!

How cool you will get to do a Dismeet!!!

Excitement building on both sides of the ocean! Can't wait for our breakfast at Cape May! It is going to be so much fun!

Only 23 more days!!!

Thanks....I know! :woohoo:

It will be! Thank goodness we're getting out of here soon! We got another foot of snow last night, so another day off for us! Sounds good in theory, but the reality is that the kids are all messed up because of it, their learning is being seriously interrupted, and we now have a whole slew of days we're going to have make up at some point. :sad2: On the other hand, I am enjoying my time off right now.

 Yay for the awesome Dismeet! It sounds like tons of fun plus you get to have breakfast at Cape May. I don't think you can beat that.

Another snow day! I wish I was leaving in 23 days. I am so tired of snow, I don't even know where to put it when we shovel.

It is so cute that Max likes to watch the CSR video.

Enjoy your day off!

Oh, yes, it is true... we got another foot of snow last night. If only I liked snow...or Max liked snow... we'd be set!

There have been some pretty big changes to our plans in the last forty-eight hours, so I thought I would take this opportunity to fill you all in on what those changes are:

Saturday
Arrival Day
We should be at the resort by one.
We will likely have lunch at Pepper Market. Max has already requested that we eat outside, so we will probably do that if possible.
After that...well...that's up mousekeeping and the weather in central Florida. If our room is ready, I will certainly head there to unpack and send the boys to the playground/pool, otherwise that's where we'll all go.
We have dinner at Garden Grill that evening. I doubt we will make it much past seven at EPCOT, however, as I'm sure Max will be tired.

Sunday
Breakfast with Karin, Tom, Nicki, and Todd at Cape May at 7:45.
Hadn't even thought about going here. So excited for my first Dismeet and perhaps it will change my mind about the BC.

After that, the three of us will head to EPCOT for the rest of the morning.

If we (and by we, I mean Mark and I) are hungry we will get some CS in World Showcase, possibly in Morocco.

We'll then head back to CSR for some rest and some time at the Dig Site before we go to AKL for our dinner at Jiko.

Sometime after nine, I'll sneak out on the boys, to meet Tom and Karin for evening EMHs at MK!

Monday
And here is where the real ADR-making pixiedust: happened...as of a few minutes ago, I was able to snag an 8:15 ADR at Crystal Palace. :woohoo:

After that, we're off to explore Fantasyland!

We'll head back around noon to the resort to meet up with my mom, who will be arriving from CT on this day.

We'll spend the afternoon at the resort, meet up with Tom and Karin at the Dig Site, as I have promised my mom a lovely (and much deserved) drink (preferably a mojito) in the hot tub. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate. And, hey, we're hearty New England folk who braved the pool last year when the temps were in the 50's. :lmao:

We have an ADR at 'Ohana that evening and then we're off to the MK. Mom wants to hang out with some Pirates...

Tuesday
Breakfast at Tusker House, so morning at AK.
We have a dinner ADR at Biergarten.

Wednesday -- My mom's birthday!
Ropedrop at DHS and lunch at Sci-Fi
Dinner at California Grill

Thursday -- My mom goes home and we head back to EPCOT. This is the one morning when I'm hoping to sleep in a little bit.
We are having lunch at Le Cellier. Yay cheddar cheese soup!
Dinner will be at Chef Mickey's, after which we will probably head back to the MK.

Friday -- Back to MK and lunch at the Plaza.
We head back to EPCOT for dinner at Via Napoli that evening.

Saturday -- :sad1: -- Departure Day
Depending on where we're at, we'll either go to the MK for a short visit or just stay at there resort, pack up, and have breakfast at the Maya Grill.

Yes, I realize I have set up an exhausting trip t for myself...but I'm not going to Disney to sleep! :lmao:

Isn't this weather nutty? I'm only five feet tall and when I came home yesterday to shovel that little bit of snow we got, I had a hard time getting it up over some of the huge piles already there! :lmao:

I knew that we were meeting up with Karin and Tom (Dizneeat) a few times during the course of our trip. I had no idea we'd also get to meet Mickeynicki and her husband, or that we'd all get to have breakfast together. And I've heard wonderful things about Cape May.

I think your schedule looks perfect! :thumbsup2 yes, while you didn't go to Disney to sleep... I don't think it will be a problem. I think your schedule doesn't look tooo exhausting.

:woohoo: on getting the breakfast ADR at Crystal. Remember to take a pic in front of the castle with no one around! (I assume your ADR is for before park opening)

:dance3: just about 3 weeks left!!!

Just checking in to see how you were making out. So much for 8'' huh? We got around 16-18'' up here. Shoveling was a b**** too. It was SOOOOOO heavy! Enjoy another day off! :headache:

A few smilies from Juliana....
:bride: princess: :grouphug:  :cake:pixiedust::rainbow:party: :welcome::dancer::sail:

I'm thinking making CP at 8:15 after staying out at MK until 2 a..m. might be a little tiring! :rolleyes1 And I will absolutely take pictures. It is so fun to take park pictures with no one else in them but you and the people you love.

Hi, Tim! And Juliana! So adorable. I'm smiling now. :goodvibes

I'm not sure how much we got...at least a foot, easily more. My husband  has been out there for a few hours now and we have a very short driveway and side walk. There just isn't any place to put it anymore. I feel very bad for any one who has to shovel this. Its awful. And we're supposed to get a little bit more Saturday? Seriously? And it looks like there's snow in the forecast for next week, as well. My very dear friend is the director of public works in Clinton and he has access to all sorts of weather forecasting information that us normal folks do not and the long range predictions for the remainder of the season are scary! :scared1:

I hope Juliana is enjoying it. Max doesn't like it very much. At least not yet... He's still young. There's time.

You should have nice conditions in VT tomorrow. Where are you going? We used to go to Okemo a lot, back when you could still get me on skis. I'm too scared of falling now. Ah, youth! :lmao:

She loves it... We might be going sledding in a little while.

I'm going to Stratton tomorrow. They only got 1'' from this storm. I think we have more snow here than they have there. LOL

Tina, I did not realize that you were joining Tom and Karin and Nicki and Todd for breakfast. You guys are going to have an absolute blast. And, I'm sure you already know it, but Nicki LOVES to take pictures of food. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

No way... I would have never thought such a thing. :rotfl::rotfl:

Check your thread... Juliana left you a present too. ;)

:lmao: Oh, I know... When I heard Nicki was actually coming into town the very same weekend we were arriving, we started to talk about meeting up to say hi. Realizing that our first night might be kind of difficult, when the plans for breakfast were thrown out, I jumped on that! I was actually able to reschedule our original Crystal Palace pre-rope drop ADR for the following day, so... the rest is history. We are going to have a blast. I'm so excited to be meeting two wonderful Dissers. And thanks, in large part to you, Kathy. If you hadn't made the CSR thread such a warm, welcoming place I might not have ever started following Karin and Nicki's threads, too! The fact that we're going to meet Nicki and Todd is icing on an already large, sweet cake!

Sure you can't come down for the weekend? :goodvibes

I know...right? No doubt that our meal will be incredibly well-documented. :lmao:

Well, now this has reached the point of total absurdity... The city in which I work has not been able to clean the streets off well enough, nor the busses, for us to have school again today. This is just wild. And at this point...this is pretty much all I can do... :lmao: There's another big storm headed our way next week, as well.

I will say this, it is certainly making the time leading up to our trip more interesting. But I have to say that at this point, getting into a routine would be nice.

Here are a few pictures of our street that I took yesterday:

You can just barely make out the roof of my car on other side of this snow bank:

Our principal called us in for a staff meeting later this morning, though, so I am hoping to use the day to get caught up (and maybe even ahead) on lesson planning. We'll see how that goes... For some reason, I'm having a hard time concetrating! :lmao:

It has been suggested (by EANDESMOM, Cynthia) that I make a list of the three top priorities I have for each day at the parks, so here goes...

Saturday:
1. Ride this:

ViagemUSA-Canon-jan2011113Medium.jpg

2. Meet these guys and have dinner with them:

playingcards.jpg

3. Walk through WS and get some of this:

Sunday:
After what am I sure will be an epic dismeet at Cape May with Dizneeat and Mickeynicki!!!

1. Ride this:

Epcot-Seas-03.jpg

2. And this:

3. And possibly this:

or this:

DSC01719.jpg

Our EPCOT days will be pretty flexible though, as Max is too young for any of the superheadliners and may just want to ride Nemo over and over. Which, I'm totally fine with!

Monday: Off to our Crystal Palace breakfast and then on to conquer Fantasyland...

1. This:
Disneytrip164.jpg

2. Time for some hunny:

3. And, well, you gotta do this:

AMANDASPICTURES2DISNEY05015.jpg

That evening, we're back at MK to spend some time in a different area of the park:

1. Here:

2. And here:

3. And to watch this:

Tuesday at AK:

2.

3. And if I can be just a teesny bit selfish, I am riding this:

Wednesday at DHS:

1. Can't wait for this... at least once...or twice!

2. Absolutely:

3. Play here:

Thursday at EPCOT:

See Sunday at EPCOT.... I truly have no priorities at EPCOT and will be perfectly content to do whatever we can/feel like doing.

Friday at MK:

1. A spin here:
P1000728.jpg

2. A ride here:
1b75d6a4.jpg

And, truly, whatever else we can do...

Saturday...sad, sad departure day. :sad2:

I'm pretty flexible, as you can see. I definitely am one of those people for whom Disney is about many, many things; rides are just one of those things. :goodvibes

We also have additional time at EPCOT on Tuesday evening, when I plan on seeing Illuminations, no matter what! And some more time at MK on Thursday evening to do whatever we can...

I'm so excited...just twenty-two more days!!!

So, I just read that 'Ohana has changed their menu...again. No more potstickers! I like meat on skewers as much as the next person...OK, so I probably don't... but taking away the chicken wings and potstickers makes it seem like you're paying the same amount for less.

So, I really would like to do dinner at the Poly and its also a priority to hit MK that night, here are my options:

1. Stick with 'Ohana because Max will still probably (maybe...he's three and a half, so who knows??) enjoy it, despite the fact that potstickers are among his favorite foods.

2. Go to Kona, where the food will most likely be a lot better.

3. Try the Crystal Palace for dinner.

4. Just do CS at MK somewhere...

Grrr....

Thoughts??

I know I'm probably a loner on the Boards when I say this, but I was not a fan of O'hana when we went. The apps were the best part since the meat was dry and overcooked. I'm going to try for Kona this time (probably for breakfast, though). But, IMO, you're probably better off staying at MK and eating there. We did CP for breakfast last time and really enjoyed it!

:welcome: and thanks for adding your two cents. I have heard from many, many people that the appetizers were the best part of the meal at 'Ohana, which is why taking them away is making me seriously reconsider going there for dinner. We are having breakfast at CP once already and I'm looking for another TS dinner. I can't get a dinner ADR at CP, so I'm leaning towards Tony's, just because it would mean we could spend more time in the parks that evening.

I read the thread about Ohana and got really bummed out. The potstickets and wings(along with the dessert) were my favorite part. I would give it a few days to find out if they are actually gone. There was someone there yesterday who reported that the said changes haven't happened. If they do happen I would cancel and maybe try Kona.

I really like the idea of picking three things that you have to do. I am going to try something similar so that I don't get disappointed when I miss stuff.

Luckily you have another day off to think about what to do:banana:
