Can anyone who has had a hospital bed brought into their WDW resort room share their experiences?

This is the first time we're trying it. We're taking my mom to AKV in April and have rented a bed from Care Medical for the week. We did call member services, who in turn called the special needs line and AKV, to advise them that we were doing it.

Anything I need to know or watch out for? Any tips for making it go smoothly?

Thanks! :)

From what other people have posted in the past, the rental place will coordinate it with Housekeeping at your resort , so it should not be a problem. Even though it is a first time for you, it won't be a first time for the rental company. I'd suggest you deal mostly thru them rather than dealing much with Member Services.
One thing to keep in mind is that the MS computer does not have direct access to the computer that will have the comments for your reservation. When you check in, tell the CM that you had some special needs noted and that you will have a bed that is being delivered. Find out from the company when and where it was delivered

Thanks for the info--it's much appreciated!
