Does anyone know the times they offer horseback riding at Fort Wilderness and how soon do we have to make reservations.

Hi,

They offer them daily at 8:30, 10, 11:30 a.m., 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m. I called about a month in advance and I was the only one booked but then again that was October and it was pretty quiet. The day of, just a few minutes before our ride two others joined me so we were only three! I believe they can take 12 at a time. You could probably call when you get there if you are not going at a really busy time. Leave yourself lots of time to get there... it's easy to get lost. It was fun... I had a great time with Otis (the horse!). Our guide told me he had been the Headless Horsemans Horse last year at some of the MNSVSHP's so I was really thrilled.

Have fun...

We went on the Horseback trip last November and didn't call to reserve until the day before. You'll love it! The trip lasts about an hour and the CM's are so up on everything Disney (or at least Ft. Wilderness) and take such good care of the horses! We went on the early morning ride, I believe it was at aprox. 8 am.

This was one of my favorite things I did on a trip last year. The horses and guides are great. You shouldn't have any problem with reservations. I went in October and only five people were in our group. We went during the afternoon. 1:00 or 1:30 if I remember correctly.

My ten year old daughter and myself did the trail over Christmas. We had the 11:30 reservation and all the horses were taken. I had never ridden before and was real nervous. The trail was simple and the horses just follow closely right behind each other. There really isn't anything to see while on the trail, but you can chat while riding. If you are looking for adventure then this tour may not be for you. Make sure you check out the petting zoo before or after and eat at Trails-end if you are hungry-good buffet. Have fun!!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:
