Hello all,
We will be on the Magic for the western route at spring break and are wondering about doing horseback riding.
We have found rides available at both Grand Cayman and Cozumel and would like the best for our family of 4.
2 daughters aged 11&6 so we need to keep that in consideration.
We would like a leisurely ride along the beach and not too long sometime in the morning. We were thinking about doing that at Grand Cayman and then doing Captain Marvin's in the afternoon.
Anyone had any great equine experiences you could share ???(keeping little ones in mind)
thanks much in advance!!

We had a ride booked in Grand Cayman but were not able to do it as the ship was not able to dock and have tenders due to the rough seas :(
But we did book a ride in Cozumel through Disney, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It is not a beach ride...they take you past some genuine and some recreated ruins, and the guides talk to you about Cozumel's history. It was advertised as walking only, but we did have a couple of opportunities to canter the horses. Everyone in our group was comfortable with it, so I'm sure they keep the pace slow for people who would rather stay at a walk.
After the ride, we saw a really neat performance by one of the wranglers and his two trick horses. He had a stallion that was so calm it laid down and stayed there while everyone took turns sitting on it for photos.

We've rode in Grand Cayman with Honey Suckle Beach rides, really nice ride, along a beach in the west side of the island. Our guide was really nice, Penny was very good especially with our kids.

We've done it in combination with Stingray City too, we booked Captain Bryans catamaran in the morning and then we were picked up from where the catamaran docks and taken right to the stable.

The ride is about 1 to1-1/2 hrs long in a very pretty area. Both tours were excellent!

You can find them at Cayman Beach Horseback Rides

Thank you both for your replies!!!!
Wavegirl I was wondering how young your children were and did you have to book the "private" rides??
I just want to be sure my 6yr old would be okay on this ride!
Thanks
