We just got back to Michigan from our week camping at Fort Wilderness. We had a great trip.

Anyway, Wednesday or Thursday night ( I can't remember which) while we were sleeping, apparantly a horse pulling the hay wagon spooked or something and damaged a few cars and then took out some signs. This was in the 300 circle we were staying in. My Mother heard the ruckus, but we didn't know what happened until the next morning. A couple of SUV's were damaged.

Someone said that someone had just taken off in with the horse and wagon and caused the damage, others said the horse just spooked and ran off.

Does anyone know what really happened? The horses all looked to be pretty calm, I can only imagine it took something pretty scary to cause one of them to go nuts.

Nothing else too exciting on the trip. We had good weather and the lines were not too bad.

Only one real complaint, at Chef Mickey's breakfast on Friday morning, Mickey disappeared right after we showed up and never returned, so my daughter didn't get to see him. I don't know what the problem was there. She was a little disappointed, but had seen him a few times through the week and danced with him at the backyard BBQ.

Hadn't heard about the horse, although I know from experience that no horse is completely "bomb proof"; they all have their limits of just how much they take. No matter how calm the horse normally is, if instincts take over they usually forget their training in favor of their safety.
