My newly obsessed stranger things 12 year old daughter found out that horror nights has a stranger things haunted house. Now she wants to go to horror night since we will be at Disney world during end of October. Obviously we won’t bring our 4 year old into the haunted house or any other scary shows but in general is the park too scary for our 4 year old to be strolled around in?

As PP mentioned, there are "scare zones" throughout the park which are themed areas set up in various walkways with actors in costume. There's also chainsaws. I agree that it would be difficult to avoid or go around these areas. I'm not even sure if there are any alternative routes around, as these areas are throughout the park.

In addition to the scare zones, you won't see any other kids there... adults are drinking, teens are hanging out... its an adult atmosphere. No one is expecting to see kids. The stage shows they do can even be a bit raunchy or adult themed. In the several times we have attended, I think I've only seen one kid that was clearly under 10.

Ok really good to know. I wasn’t sure if it was a happy fun themed night but with scary areas of you wish to go to. I guess I’m used to Disney world! Might be worth my daughter abd I Uber if there while my husband stays back with our youngest.

Great Idea! If you also all want to stay close, Dad and 4yo could hang around City Walk. Do dinner and a movie and the Cineplex.

I wouldn't even consider bringing my 5 year old and possibly not my 7 year old

Is there definitely going to be a Stranger Things house again? (If they even have HHN this year?)
Probably not on the house, but I would be happy if it were. We went through it in 2018 and it was cool, so was the way they had the back room of the Tribute Store ( had it decorated like the Upside Down complete with the foam bubbles) we went in that store a lot. I wish they would start announcing houses. I do think HHN will be back, we are going no matter what.

It really is a different place during HHN. Scare zones and scenes, also dry ice fog and that hurt my lungs. Actually, my daughter reminded me, when we were going in back through the gates in 2019, there was a lady trying to go in with a little toddler in a stroller and security was asking her to leave. And yes, we will be back this halloween for my DD halloween birthday and 🤞🤞2021 HHN.

Universal has dropped some hints implying that HHN will happen this year, but its too early for them to have announced any houses. This will be the 30th anniversary since last year's was cancelled, so I would expect them to do some special things as well as leverage anything that was developed for last year. The rumors from last year did not include anything related to Stranger Things. So, I'd be surprised if they had a Stranger Things house this year, unless season 4 happens to come out this summer/fall. To my knowledge, there's no release date for it yet.

Any idea when we could see any new HHN information?

Agree general theme park haunts are not really suitable for a child that age and Universal's is usually even more extreme (not necessarily in content but more detailed themes and props as they do it up better than generic props). Plus while there are scare zones you can come across scare actors outside them at times so even avoiding them isn't always safe. In years past they've even done roaming groups that can appear anywhere.
Plus if your daughter is really interested in Stranger Things only there's no guarantee that there will be a house for it this year. It's been almost 2 years since the last season, so unless they get season 4 out before the event I don't see them doing one until after it releases.

They put out a teaser the other day, but I feel like house information is usually released closer to summer - June/July timeframe maybe? This year may be different if they're still working out the logistics, and because they had to cancel last year's event.

Since it was very limited runs for houses last year and no official event I figured this one would for sure be back this year. Wouldn't be surprised to see teh tooth fairy one retrun as well.
