Horrible, rotten mothers day!

Last night at Midnight, I recieved a call about an old friends mom who lives about 5 miles from us, That they had heard she had died at 10pm last night. I just had seen her and she was fine. Well woke up this morning to my phone ringing and it was in the paper. She did in fact die late last night. So woke up crying right off the bat...
Ran to the nearest bakery and bought pastries and muffins and Freash juice. Dropped it off to someone going in. I just couldn't bring myself to go in.
Well they called me to say thanks and told me my sister who has been estranged from the family for 4 years is dieing, ( liver and kidney issues)

I am toast, My kids have had breakfast, lunch and dinner all purchased out today. I wish I could say tommorow will be a better day. But Then I have to go to the funeral. Not a day I want to repeat!

I'm so sorry.

I know it's hard but do take the time to talk to your friend. Losing a mother on Mother's Day... that has to be so absolutely horrible. My best friend lost her Mom on Mother's day 12 years ago, she still has big problems with it.

I hope you find time to reunite with your sister, too.

My sister has drug and alcohol issues, I have not seen her in 4 years, Because the last time she was here from the West Coast we tried to get her into treatment and she fled. We have not seen her since. We have flown twice to CA to try and get her help. To no avail.
The friend who lost his mom, also lives in CA, hence how he knows. I will see them tommorow, Minus my kids and not in my pajamas like I was today. I literally rolled out of bed and went straight there. And then I got there and it was just like Hello, What am I gonna do go in my jammies? I guess I was just not thinking clearly. The people when I got the pastries must have thought I had lost my mind.
Anyway.... tommorows another day.
