We had the worst neighbors the last night of our stay. Did not quiet down until 3:15am, and that was after 4 visits from security! Anyone else ever experience this? I hope it was a rare occurance, as we have two more trips planned for this year.

Wow. That is ridiculous! Sorry that happened to you. In a regular hotel if security was called that many times and at that hour I would expect they would be kicked out. Very disappointing that people are that inconsiderate of others. Were you at the campsites or cabins?

We had that happen to us 2 yrs. ago in the 2000 loop. There was a family reunion with about 10 people, stayed up late playing music and talking and laughing, carrying on. It would calm down around 2:30 or so. It did bother use but we did not say anything. They kept apologizing about the noise. They where only there for the weekend. During the day they where as nice as could be. They would come over and talk with us, say hi while at the pool. That was pretty mild compared to a lot of things that go on in the 2000 loop.

We were also in the 2000 loop. It was a large family, they had two sights. Just glad it was only the one night. If they would of come sooner, we would have requested to move. We complained at check out. They did not charge us for that night.

I was going to ask what loop. I have had the worst experience in that loop, the last two times I have been there. This year I reserved a full site, hoping things will be better.

It's a shame, I loved our site. It was very large and had lots of trees. We have requested it for our next two trips, hope we have better luck. A lot of the other loops, the sights are so close with no privacy. I like to at least feel I am somewhat in the woods, lol.

There seems to be 'something' about tent sites (where people tend to basically live outside) that are much nosier, loud, and spread out without regard to boundaries and walking in other people's sites - seem to keep later hours also.

We have never stayed in those loops at Disney, but have experienced it especially in the Smokey Mountains where we go a lot.

Of course there are lots of nice considerate people in tents also, thankfully. Just takes a few 'rotten apples' to spoil a good camping trip - especially if their site is next to you.

That sucks, I've had that happen in the past at other campgrounds. I keep a big box fan in my camper and have a white noise app on my phone so when we get in a situation like that I can run both and drown out any outside noises so we can all sleep peacefully.

This worries me too but that's what we do too, use white noise. Hopefully will be ok as I don't always sleep well even on a good day. Arriving in 5 days! Woo hoo! :flower:

1) This type of thing does happen every-so-often.
2) People feel they are here to enjoy, and they do just that - at any hour.

3) We had one instance of this three weeks ago.
4) The complaing neighbor solved the problem - and to the complaints of the noisy campers.
. . . they brought a big fan
. . . they bought a unit of "Fart In A Can" from Amazon
. . . they turned on the fan and sprayed the can
. . . the odor went directly to the offending campsite
. . . the noise stopped !!!
5) I do not advise such, but it was certainly effective.
6) It solved a problem that Security could not.

NOTE1: I personally did not smell it, but was told by others, the oder was pretty gross.
NOTE2: If you try this, make sure in which direction the wind is blowing.

As my 3 year-old would say, "Somebody rolled over a stunk!"

On our tent-camping trip in March in the 2000 loop, we had a weekend-night neighbor whose DD kept singing Disney lyrics ... repeatedly... at the top of her lungs... until midnight or so. Newsflash, folks! Other people don't think your little one is so cute in the middle of the night. Fortunately, they seemed to be there just the one night.

I had considered breaking out in "Let it go" at 6 am the next morning, but I am pretty sure from the noise that the young one was already up then. I figure she probably had a meltdown sometime later that day from lack of sleep. My heart went out to the parents.

Also fortunately, the other 7 nights of our stay were uneventful and peaceful in the loop, except for one midnight appearance of the neighborhood raccoon. Yikes!

Wow. I will say that we have had some interesting neighbors on our camping adventures, but none so exciting as the ones I read about here. Mostly just "Interesting" neighbors. I can't understand why people would spend so much money to come to FW (and WDW in general) to just sit and get drunk (whether you are loud or not). But hey... It's your money, far be it for me to tell you how to spend it. Last time at the fort (Nov 27-Dec 6 2014) we were in the 1400 loop and right as you enter, the first site on the right. It was a great site and the neighbors, while some were very "Colorful", they were mostly considerate to everyone else.

I am sure to some of the locals it is just another campground that is close, and they go there to get loaded and meet up with other friends. Saw a bunch of people drinking and driving golf cart with their kids on board, driving the wrong way on the road. Sad, but happens.

After a month at the Fort this year I have to say that without exception its was the weekend warriors that were disruptive and didnt follow the rules.

I am laying in my camper in the 1900 loop as I type this. Horrible neighbors have really affected our trip. So much so I probably won't stay here again. I am that kind of frustrated.

They choose to hang out at the end of the site practically on the street. They are loud. They are obnoxious and inconsiderate. It finally dawned on me that my truck is 10 feet away from them and aimed right at their little gathering... so I have turned on my high beams for the night. I don't care if my battery is dead in the morning. It has been worth it.

We've never had any issues, well except for the damn squirrels that ate my bean bags which were apparently corn bags.
