Horrible Goofys Kitchen experience.

We had dinner at GK on Friday and it was a great experience. We sat in the round room across from the buffet spread. Four characters stopped by our table (Minnie, Belle, Alice and Chip). They did interact with my DD4 briefly and I found it good enough. When Belle came but my daughter was getting food, she said she would come back and she did!

I have found Character dining a rather "busy" experience. Maybe it was the age of my kids--DD4 and DS1. I had to make sure not only they ate their food but they had fun with the characters..... It was a pleasant busy experience though.

I did want to update on this a bit. My mom wrote to Disneyland and told them about our disappointing time at both Minnie's and Goofy's. She wasn't expecting anything, but wanted to make them aware. They asked her to send a list of her grandchildren's favorite characters (she had told them the character meals had been for our kids) and they individually sent all of my kids a signed color picture, stickers, coloring sheets and postcards. My kids were excited to get mail and already have a spot in their rooms to hang their pictures. It's not a perfect solution, but at least Disney acknowledged and did what they could to make it better. :)

It was my first trip to DL and just one of the many reasons I don't think I'll return to this park.

Wow, that's too bad.

I think they called it Minnie's Luau last time I was there I believe it is now Lilo and Stitch's thing but it's at the PARADISE PIER HOTEL

It used to be Lilo&Stitch, and now it's Surf's Up with Mickey. They brought in Mickey and got rid of Lilo; that's pretty much the difference.

To those who mentioned the cold food...did anyone mention it to servers or the chefs there at the time? Maybe they have no idea that their heating lamps aren't working?

I pretty much just focused on the made-to-order omelette, which of course was nice and hot, and DS and DH got those too. And I think I got potatoes. But they also got the mac and cheese pizza, and there were some waffles of some sort on plates, and those were all the right temperature, so we didn't experience cold things, but then maybe we just got different things, or our fresh-made egg dishes made us so happy we didn't notice anything being cold?
