Hopper Ticket discount

I don't know if this has been posted yet so I decided to.

I went to the Disney Store today to buy two 5 day hopper+ passes and received a great discount. They have started a new program at the stores, according to the CM. You automatically save up to $12 on a pass (the $12 is for the 7 day) and then they take off for DC if you have it. The regular price for the tickets was $277 including tax But I got them for $250 inc tax. I thought this was a pretty good deal. You are saving approx 10%

Disneyworld.com price is 247 before tax. After tax it comes to 266.00 you still save $16 going to the store. You can't use you DC discount online either.

You got the regular DC discount on the ticket. It's a little confusing to some people so here is what Disney's prices look like for a 5 day PHP for an adult including tax:

$275.85 - Gate Price at WDW (Full Price)

$263.07 - Advance Purchase Price available to anyone at TDS and 407-WDISNEY

$250.29 - DC price available to DC members at TDS, 407-WDISNEY, and DC 800 number.

When the DC goes away starting in January 2004, the only discount you will get on tickets (other than FL residents) will be the advance purchase discount.

Disney Visa will not offer you a price discount. It will only allow you to apply your Disney Dream Reward Dollars towards the payment of these and other items.

I just went to our TDS today and asked about using the DC discount along with the advance purchase price and one of the store managers said that I could not get the DC discount. I thought that I had read on Mousesavers that you could. What can I do to get the store manager to give me the DC discount on the tickets?

TDS only offers DC discounts on park hopper PLUS passes

That is what I wanted to purchase. Three 6 day PHP adults and one 6 day PHP child. The manager said that the DC discount could not be used on those tickets.

The same thing happened to me when I went to purchase some PHP's I was persistant and the girls at the counter went to get the manager and she opened the notebook to a special page further back that gave the additional discount for the DC. They were slightly embarrassed to not know about the discount but I was just glad that I stood my ground . I was starting to think that I had lost my mind for a few minutes and made the whole thing up. I guess that is just more proof that with Disney the right hand doesn't always know what the left hand is doing.

well, in defending the manager, things can change weekly, and sometimes the communication of whats going on and what the managers know can sometimes fall behind.

with in the past 6 months the whole disney world passport situation at the disney store has changed 3 or 4 times.
it went from offering the DC discout on all passes, to not offering it at all, to now only offering it on PHP passes....

so be gental when dealing with the managers
