I'm hoping you all will help me.
I have a friend who is going to WDW the last weekend in April . They have just decided to go, have never been to WDW, do not know much about it,( mom, dad, son(teen), Daughter (almost teen))

They will be going Thursday-Sunday.Flying in but don't have times yet

What advice, tips etc.... would you give this family?
I want this to be enjoyable for them and they just don't have much time at all to plan. This was a last minute decision.
So.... can any of you help with tips to make this a fun few days for them?
They are going to try and stay at a value but do not have any ressies yet at all.

April can be a crowded time of year to visit (popular spring break time), so forewarn your friends of this. However, if they're well prepared, they should be okay. Here are some tips for your friends:
  • Make sure to purchase tickets with the park hopper option. This way, they can visit a park in the morning, take a break mid day, then return at night.
  • Use Fastpass whenever possible. This is a free service, available at the most popular WDW attractions (note, only one Fastpass per guest at a time)
  • Their main meal should be lunch. Lunch and dinner menus are nearly identical, only dinner menus are more expensive.
  • Don't feel like they have to rush to see everything. They will enjoy themselves much more if they slow down.

I agree with the previous post. The last time we went, although not crowded, we just took it slow - visited the attractions each kid wanted first (they each got to choose 2 MUST haves) - went back in the afternoon for a swim/nap and snack. Whatever they do not see or cannot see in April will be there next time.

If they go with the frame of mind that they WILL NOT see everything and it will be crowded they will know what to expect. Try lunch at a nearby resort or make an off hour priority seating for meals helps too. Those counter service places can be NUTS even when it is not crowded. :earseek:

I hope they have a great time! pirate:
