I am very relieved. I am so lucky to have been blessed with them. We had "worms in dirt at TGI Fridays" It was a big hit!! Hubby kept trying to eat C's and she gave him the 2 thumbs down.

Kyle is ADHD and was in trouble a lot in PreK but once on the medicine he does much better !! Has even got Student of the month!!! He shines in Math but does struggle a bit with reading !!! He is such a perfectionist with school work that he gets very discouraged !!

Good to have a teacher that is supportive

Funny... Sounds like my first grader wanting to read all those books in one day!

In talking with Reid's first grade teacher, I was mentioning how messy his work is and that he seems to rush through assignments. She laughed and said she thinks he gets in a hurry so he can read! She says he is ALL into this AR and wants to read a book, so he can take the AR test on it!

He is super-competitive, so there's probably some truth to that. He wants those AR points!

Thanks again for all the advice and positive feedback. We had our conference this am and it went really well. A small brag if I may-she said A is at the top of the class academically. She said that her reading is superb as wel as she is super creative. Ms G showed me the new schedule for centers which includes 30 min of reading, 15 min of packet completion and 15 min on Raz kids. It went well today. She did mention that it takes A awhile to start her illustration during journal writing. We both encouraged her to begin on time so she could add more detail in the illustration and at least 3 sentences of writing. Ms G also brought up A needing to pay attention during calendar. That she needs to focus and not play or talk. She is confident that A will be in the gfted cluster class next year. Ms G said what a sweet girl she is and how she has no real concerns and A is ready for 1st grade. Makes me feel very blessed and proud. I only wish that my Mom was here to share it with. I know she is watching from Heaven but only a G'Ma never gets sick of hearing how great their grand child is. I did talk with my SIL (inlaws are staying with her) but I tried to downplay it-my niece is the same age. A great meeting all around

I recieved my first D23 magzine and certificate. I decided to join as a charter member. Very fun. We are also waiting to hear about DVC. It has been 15 days so 15 to go. I am going with "no news is good news" Fingers crossed.
