Hoping the Rain Stays Away-We're Going Back in May-TR started

I'm with Michelle in that teaching school I get exposed to so much more. However, I do give the room a quick wipe with the Clorox wipe. We keep the comforter on the bed, but we don't sleep with it. I do however change the sheets on the pullout sofa in the villa if they are on the mattress when we open it. We always make sure to leave the pull out open with the sheets off when we leave so that mousekeeping knows someone actually slept on the pull out.

I knew I liked you!! Pray for Mya-got an update that it is nearing the end. :sad2:

I've been praying for her every day. Their story breaks my heart. I'm flooded with tears everytime I check out their TR or Caring Bridge journal. What a special little girl and what an incredibly strong Mother. I can't imagine. :sad2: Thanks for the heads up. I haven't been over there in a few days.

Copied from Leanne's PTR. SHe said what I wanted to. I know a lot of you read both of our reports but they can sure use all the prayers they can get.

Hey guys, if you wouldn't mind please say a prayer for a little girl named Mya and her mother Shardai. Mya is a three year old dying from cancer. I have been following her story for the last few weeks. Her story is amazing and really testifies to the power of the DIS. Mya's condition is very grave at the moment and she is very uncomfortable due to the extreme pain. If you would please consider praying for this family. I'm of the thinking, the more prayers the better. They could really use some comfort and peace in the next few days.

If you're interested in her story the TR in progress is here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2418557

If you're like me, make sure you have some tissues nearby. Links to her Caring Bridge journal are in her mother's siggie.

I just felt compelled to ask for prayers for this family. As a Mother myself, my heart is breaking for Shardai.

My DW wipes down every square inch of whatever seats we are sitting in on the plane. Seats, armrests, windows, walls, etc. It is amazing how dirty they are. I'm not sure if anyone EVER cleans them. :confused3:confused3

When we get to the room she cleans everything with Clorox... from the bathroom, to the counters, remotes, phone, etc. I just sit there and watch. :)

But I do think she has a good reason for doing this.

That Mel is my kind of woman. I was actually asked for some of my Clorox wipes on the plane last year-luckily I brought extra!
We went to Taco Bell today, I thought of you!

Mary, I do the same thing. I wiped, sprayed, rubbed, scrubbed and disinfected everything I could think of last September, and we used several bottles of hand sanitizer, but you know our outcome.........OINK OINK for both Dallas and I. I really think it is more the rude people, who don't care if they infect others, that spread the germs. People sneezing and coughing without covering. I think I may have just noticed it more because of H1N1, but either way Dallas and I both ended up with it.

I remmeber that :sad2: I agree that it probably was more the people around you. This trip-NO SICKIES!! Oink or otherwise.

Good to know about the pull out sofa. Will remember that!

April is autism awareness month. Today many will be wearing blue to help bring awareness to this illness. For a beautifully written account of she and her son Billy's journey with autism please visit KathyRN137's current trip report and read "There is a Monster in the Closet" Bring your tissues though. Current stats show that 1 in 90 kiddos are affected. Time to start figuring out why-past time if you ask me.
