Great card! I love the big picture of the girls with their toys all lined up. So cute!
Yep, your mom is up there smiling and happy and so proud of the girl she raised into the fine woman you are. I know this will be a difficult time for you as you celebrate and grieve all at once. I know that will be coming for my family someday, as well, and they have talked about how different and empty it will be when that time comes. But they know I want them to just push a little extra to make things brighter than ever and know that I'm going to be looking down and joining them in spirit.
Maybe you could come up with a fun new tradition to do in her memory - something that would brighten someone's day in her honor. Friends of mine who lost their daughter
(young twenties, in a car wreck as she was on her way to a mission trip) receive a monetary gift from me at Christmas to do something for someone in Emmy's memory. However they choose to use it to brighten someone's holiday is their choice. I think it's a way of allowing Emmy to still be a part of making a Merry Christmas for someone.
There will be a day when there will be no more parting nor sadness, and what a day of rejoicing that will be!
Know that your friends at home and here on the DIS are thinking of you in a very special way as you go through the weeks ahead. We will laugh with you or cry with you or just sit around with you and tell you how amazing you are and how precious your girls are...just as long as you need us.
Have a wonderful Saturday!
