Hoping the Rain Stays Away-We're Going Back in May-TR started

I can remember the days of buying a size bigger so Amanda and Tyler could get more wear. I didn't have that luxury with Dallas by the time I got stuff home from the store it was already too little for him.........:lmao:.

Hey Mary! I wanted to come read your report, too! I just read the first couple of pages now, but I am going back to read them all! I might fall asleep first- not your fault, but because I am exhausted! Anyway, I'm subscribing so I won't miss a thing!

Happy Day after Thanksgiving

Ours was very nice. Jeff cooked a yummy meal and a friend her hubby and kiddos came for dessert.
This morning kids slept until after 7a-a rare occasion and off we went to Kohl's. We bought some guest towels-inlaws come next weekend, some animal towels for the girls,"Ariel and Tink nighty night gowns" with slippers and wands' I love how Avery calls them "night night gowns" makes her still seem little :) a dress and pants for Avery and accessories for my Snow Village and new shoes for the girls. We saved $$$ We then went to Target and got snowmen for the front yard, cute plastic holiday plates and a new Crockpot!

Then this aft, I ventured to the Disney Store. I bought the Belle Tea Cart, Ariel and sisters figures and Princess Tiana pjs for Cayley. I also got 2 ornaments and the cute Mickey 2009 plush. For Avery I totally splurged. I bought her the red and gold Belle dress. It is so pretty. I had bought her the yellow Belle dress the day after Halloween for really cheap but it is a size 7/8. She really needed a 5/6. Girl is almost 44in and only 38lb. Tall and skinny-if only we all could be. I will either hold on to the other Belle or sell it. I then went to Toys R Us for a few things. I am all done shopping for them!!

Tomorrow we will go get our tree-we are going live this year. The lights on the bottom of our faker went out last year. We have not had a live tree since moving to AZ years ago! I am very excited.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend.

Hi Mary!
Sounds like a great Thanksgiving!
You did great on the shopping today! How were the crowds?
I'll bet it feels wonderful to be finished with the kid portion of your shopping!

I have my eyes on a crockpot I saw at Walmart. It has two pots and they sit in a common warmer. It would be great for big family meals, and I could use it at church camp, too. I'm trying to justify it in my mind until I just go ahead and get it. Then I can start justifying the Paula Deen cookware I've been seeing, too. ;)

I have looked at that Belle dress so many times. It is so pretty! She will love it! Why can't they put it on sale for let's say...ten bucks? Then I would not hesitate to risk getting trampled to get it for Brooklynn. :)

Have fun with the tree trimming. It will be nice to have a live tree making the house smell all good and woodsy. I go with a 'faker' myself these days, and a small one at that, but it's good enough for me right now. When the girls get older, I may go back to a bigger one, but for now, they don't care. They'll be here tomorrow afternoon, and I'll let Brooklynn help put ornaments on it.

Have a great day!

Hi Mary Glad your Thanksgiving went well !! We had a nice quite but Yummy one with just the 5 of us ! Family Tradition is to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC , and we decided to go there next year God willing and the money tree blooms !!!:rotfl2:

Hiya
It was fun. They were not to bad. Hubby waited in line for about 20 min at Koihl's and I walked right up at Disney and TRU. It does. Now the inlaws-can anyone say pics :)

That Crockpot sounds great for a big family. I wanted a timer and keep warm function. Got it for $19 Ooh Paula cookware-nice.
It was a big spulrge. I do have some baby things to sell. I was hoping for a sale but no go.
I can't wait for that smell. Our faker was ok but being a fun new house and all...Have fun with your girls tomorrow.

Thanks Rosie, nice and quiet is always good. The girls watched a little of the parade. That would be so exciting to go see it in person!

Thanks, your sounded nice too! I am excited that I don't have to brave any crowds in Dec. I am going to show it to her later-to make sure she likes it. We are going out in a few to get it and can't wait to decorate. Hopefully we can find the decorations in all the boxes LOL
