My grandson who is 10 months old loves the Toy Story! We are doing his first birthday party Toy Story. I was hoping that someone could get me a postcard signed by buzz or woody that I could frame and sit by his cake for his first birthday. I tried to contact Disney and they said they do not offer anything to purchase. I would greatly appreciate it and it would make his first birthday even more magical.

I always heard if you wrote a letter to your favorite character, they would send you a signed picture. Just address it to Buzz Lightyear, WDW and the address. It is worth a try.

Try the fairygodmailer post on the disboards. I had someone send postcards to my girls from their favorite princesses. They were "signed" from the princesses and mailed from Orlando. Maybe you can find someone on that board to help you out.

Why a signed postcard from a person wearing a costume for a baby? Do it yourself if you want the signature. He's much too young to know what you're doing- or even understand a movie.

Thanks for your kind response. I have gotten some ignorant backlash from people, and I wanted to thank you for offering advice.

I appreciate the feedback on what you think you know, I didn't ask for negative feedback. When you go top the parks do you get autographs? If so why it's just a costume right?????

No, I don't get autographs. Personally I think the whole concept is ridiculous. I get waiting in line for a child who wants to meet a favorite character, though. I was simply saying that for a baby it needn't be such a big deal to try so hard to get an " official" autograph, when all you are getting is someone else writing a name you could do yourself.

I cannot help but laugh, when I see posts like these that are looking for information, AND NOT OPINIONS, and you get back ignorant responses of absolutely no help.
I would not count on getting a signed one through Disney. I would look at ebay or Zazzle for a postcard and then have a friend forge the signature.

Don't mind the haters!! I think it's a cute idea and something that can be saved as a keepsake. If I had seen this before I went I would have been more than happy to help. Check the fairy godmother list; we have sent and received before from that list and been happy with the results.

Yes, I'm very aware of this, are you???????????

Yeah, and that's why I can't imagine asking for someone to ask a person dressed up in a costume to sign something for a baby who has no idea what's going on. Bringing a little one who really thinks they're getting an autograph from a favorite character--totally get it!! Having baby's picture taken with someone in a costume, sure, why not! But asking for a complete stranger to ask an employee to sign a character's name to a postcard for a one-year-old who's clueless about the whole thing just seems silly.

Get a postcard off Ebay or Amazon or print a picture yourself. Sign it yourself. Same final result. Trust me, baby won't know the difference.

If you google their autographs, they will show up in the search results. You can save that image as a JPEG and layer it on top of a character image to print at home to frame. Might be easier than trying to get a postcard or authentic park autograph.
