My wife is a stay at home mom, we have 2 boys in school full time and one 18 month old at home we are trying to get into a daycare/super early pre k program.

She is interested in going back to work part time to help us save money, and to help on our 2 Disney trips we are planning, (One with kids, one with just us.)...........A few years ago she had a online friend who worked for Disney from home doing dinning reservations, she has lost contact with her friend since then, but is trying to look into it, she has a ton of call center style experience, and loves disney. Does anyone have any knowledge of this and where she can start? the disney Website doesn't seem to have too much info, thanks

Not really sure what you're asking about but i seriously doubt that Disney hires people and let's then "telecommute" If you're referring to the several organizations out there who would stalk the sites and for a fee get the ADR for you, those have been shut down.

Could be that Disney sub-contracts call center services for things like dining and resort reservations. Some call center services allow people to work from home provided they have the proper equipment and a quiet space to work in. Those job positions wouldn't be posted by Disney, but by the call center business itself. Maybe someone here know if this is the case, and could recommend which call center business to apply to?

Not sure if she is interested in being a TA? If so, she may want to research becoming an independent agent with an Earmarked agency.

My friend had a position exactly like that. She was required to complete training and have a computer, phone line and Internet capability to certain specifications.

She bid on her shifts and was required to be at her computer for the entirety of her shift with breaks. There was not a ton of flexibility because the shift choices were based on senorita

she seemed to enjoy the job but quit after less than a year when their contract was restructured in a way that made the position less desirable le.

I recall that there was a fiancial outlay... a large outlay if my memory serves corect, for training and software.

For what it's worth, it is not a good job for a stay at home mom with small children. You cannot have noise in the background and you have to be at your phone and computer for your entire shift.

We have childcare lined up elsewhere, but from the reviews I am getting here and elsewhere it's not exactly flexable

It's not at all flexible - you work the shifts you're given. And if you have a sick kid at home when you're scheduled to work, you need to have alternate childcare because you cannot let customers wait while you're taking care of your child.

Also, it's expensive to get started because you have to pay for your own training.
