Hoosier DISers

Are there any Hoosier DISers out there that would like to plan some meets in the Indianapolis or east central Indiana area this summer???

I know we have had one in Indy every Labor Day weekend for a number of years now. I stop down from Chicago for the Nationals Drag races there that weekend and have been able to get a meet going for about 4 or 5 years now. I am coming there again this year, would love to have another.

I don't know about Labor Day at this point, still a ways out, though I don't have anything going on right now... definitely keep it in mind though!


So is anyone besides me disgusted with what happened to the Disney Store at Castleton???? How did the one at Circle Center fare? Up here in Muncie we don't have much of anywhere to shop for Disney stuff so I always relied on the Disney store. And the stuff they carry now isn't even available online as it isn't part of Disney shopping. ugh.

Dan, do you know of some good kid-friendly things to do in Chicago (besides zoos and aquarium)? I am looking at taking DD for her birthday later this summer. Of course she wants to go the American Girl store, but I am looking for something else that might be fun. And which area on the outer edges of the city is good to stay in. Don't want to pay the high hotel rates for near the loop!! thanks!!

I agree. I don't know what happened to the Circle Center Store. I'm dreading it, if they change the Greenwood Store. So far, no signs of change. I guess, we'll just have to get our fix of shopping at World of Disney whenever we go!

By the way, I'd be interested in a meet sometime this summer or Labor Day weekend (I leave for the World on the 4th of September!). Keep me posted!

Is the Greenwood store still a real Disney Store?? the one at Castleton is smaller and just has the Mickey shape around the doorway (now owned by The Children's Place). If the Greenwood one is still good I may have to go down there soon (like maybe this weekend!!)

Yes, the store is still a "real" Disney store. I really don't like the one in Castleton. By the way, I tried to respond yesterday, but I couldn't post for some reason on any thread.

Yeah, we went down there. It is the same physical location and decor but they sell the same stuff as the ones in the other malls so they aren't really owned by Disney either. I miss being able to buy jewelry and nice adult clothes in there without having to pay the shipping when you buy it from the catalog.

Hey there! I am in Decatur, just south of Ft. Wayne! Mickee fan - DH, myself and kids will be at POP too, we leave the 3rd!

Our Disney store in Glenbrook Mall (Ft. Wayne) doesn't seem to have changed at all. What happened to the one in Castleton?

Hi Michelle...I am just south of you in Muncie! SIL was at Glenbrook last weekend. She said the Disney store there, like the one down at Greenwood, looks the same but they are carrying the same stuff as the ones that did change physically. You cannot get that stuff from the catalog and they don't carry the stuff the catalogs do . Very sad, though they do have some neat things. I still wish we had one in Muncie, though!

We would be interested.

But we leave for WDW on Sept 1 and return on Sept 17.
