Hoope Dee Doo or Whispering Canyon?

I always do this to myself, a few days before we leave I start second guessing my ADR's and try to book other ones.

I have a ADR for Whispering Canyon, but wanted to switch days, not happening they are booked.

In the meantime I booked Hoop Dee Doo for the same night as the Whispering Canyon.

There are 6 in my party, 4 adults and 2 kids, (4 and 2). Which would you keep?

I would go to HDDR. I love that dinner show. In fact, I'm a bit sad because I planned on taking my kids there for the first time this year but it's on our arrival day and I'm paranoid about paying in advance for a show that the airlines may force me to miss. So I think I will book WCC for that dinner instead. (We are staying at WL)

We've never been to WCC so it should be fun too but definitely do HDDR if you haven't yet.

HDDR is so much fun! I would definitely keep that ADR. You can always try while down there to get an ADR or walk-up at WCC.

I would go to the HDDR. We had so much fun there and I think the kids would love it.

Personally I would keep the Hoop De Do. We did it several years back and really enjoyed it and we plan to do it again in the near future.

Now that being said, I'm not a big fan of WCC. The last time we ate there the food was just not good. Plus the antics are hit and miss, you may get a fun server or you may not. You may even be put back in the back section of the restaurant away from everyone else. Don't go to WCC just for antics you may or may not get.

Believe it or not, but in our over 20 visits to Disney, we have never been to HDDR. However, even without having ever been there, I would say go there instead of WCC. We were at WCC in September and I doubt if you offered to pay for my meal that we would go back.

Thanks so much everyone. We have never been to either one, but I have read alot of hit and miss experiences at WCC. I think we will go ahead a keep the HDDR one. That sounds like a sure thing.

It will be cheaper for your family to eat at WCC, but if that doesn't matter to you, I'd vote for HDDR.

I have been to both.. They really are different as night and day. WCC while does have some 'action' is a place to eat dinner. We love their skillet meal - its all you can eat and the food is just fine by our standards. Chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, corn ++. The HDDR is a musical show plus similar type of food. The show is fun to attend, kids loved it and there is audience participation too and sing alongs. Two totally different places. If money is not a concern HDDR if you have never been. Since we have been there and done that we just go back to WCC for lunch or dinner each visit.....

I would choose HDDR! Good, old-fashioned, fun and the food is good too. I give it thumbs up for bread and circuses! Strawberry shortcake is to die for!

We did both last year and loved both. I thought th food was good at both places ,but similar too. I booked both for this year as well. DH and DD really wanted HDDR again. But as hours kept changing for our stay, I switched my schedule around and it seemed like my WCC ADR just wasn't going to work for us that day. So I decided to change and go with a breakfeast somewhere else that day. I wil go for WCC next trip then.
I love both, but if you haven't been to HDDR yet, I would do that one.
