If you are on the DDP, I think 2TS credits is pretty steep for the BBQ. In fact, I think the price ($51 for adults $21 for kids under 9 ) is pretty steep for what what it is. Just my opinion
I've never done Mickeys BackYard BBQ, but HDDR is a lot of fun! And the fried chicken they have there is the best I have ever eaten in my entire life!!
I'm NOT a fan of eating outdoors so I have no intentions of ever going to MBYBBQ.
HDDR on the other hand is GREAT!! So great in fact that when I asked DD10 (9 at the time) where she wanted to go for her 10th birthday dinner, she immediately said HDDR.

We too had fun at Hoop Dee Doo and would recommend it for the entertainment--it was one of my son's very favorite moments of our Disney trip and he was singing and stomping (dancing) for literally an hour after we left--but comments like the above just baffle me beyond belief. This is obviously pre-cooked (sorta') reheated chicken of the sort you can get for yourself in the frozen food section of any supermarket, if you truly think it's the, "best fried chicken you've ever had in your life."
It's basically KFC, only not hot by the time it gets to you. Totally edible, but nothing even slightly special.
To each their own, obviously, but to compare: Are there actually folks who think Tombstone, or Little Ceaser's, make "the best pizza in the world?"
We loved, loved, loved HDDR!!! We just went last summer & booked it again for our trip this May. It was the one place that everyone had on their "go back this trip" list!
We haven't done MBYBBQ but my BFF has & she said they were very disappointed in it. Having done both shows, she said there's no comparison. HDDR wins, hands down!
Another vote for HDDR. We did MBYBBQ a year or so ago and we were very disappointed with what we got for the price. Our DD 7 and 5 absolutely love HDDR!
Thanks everyone I guess that is an overwhelming response for HDDR so it wins. I am contemplating deluxe dining and if we do we will do both but if not HDDR it is
