I'm a first-timer. I know that the hoopdedoo dinner is in the Fort Wilderness resort area. I just wonder which park/s are near that.

At present, I am not too sure if we will be staying at the FORiverside or at the S/D. I need to see if there are any deals for teachers at s/d or any package deals in general for 4/2004.

Meanwhile, I understand, it's a good thing to reserve this show earlier, so I need to ask about the location so as to be realistic with what's going on where before and/or after this show.

How long is this show? I understand it starts at either 5 or 7:15.

Thanks.

If you stay at PO-Riverside, they have a special bus which picks you up and brings you back after the show. I do not know about the Swan/Dolphin resorts. However, on my site, there's a link to a site that can estimate travel times and which WDW travel procedures to use.

Here's the page: WDW Planning Tools

Happy Planning! :earsboy:

we have taken the bus to MK and then the boat to fort wilderness. and then boat to MK, etc. it is a short walk from the dock to pioneer hall. very easy to do! HDD is a lot of fun; your son will enjoy it. our, at the time, 16 year old had a ball; he's 22 now and enjoys it just as much.:p

Dear DQ,

How long did that bus and then boat take? How long is the HDD?

My daughter will be five and I think she should enjoy it. She has her attention on the luau, but I think the HDD sounds more engaging.

Also, do you think that if only the balcony tier at the HDD is available, it will be worth it?

We went to HDDR last year and had a blast. We still laugh about some of the songs we heard there.

We stayed at POR and they told us to allow an hour to get there. It was good advise. We went the long way as we found out later.

Since we were there off-season, a bus driver told us we had to go to DD and get the bus to FW. When we did that, the bus driver told us we had to go to DD to WL to FW which is what we did and it took a long time. Later, another driver told us we took the long way(we had figured that out by then! )He said next time go POR to MK to the boat which goes directly to FW. This would seem easier to me.

Going home is a breeze as the buses are there waiting for each resort when you get out.

Have a great time--it was the highlight of our trip!

KIS,

I'd say the boat ride is 15-20 minutes, but a nice ride. It's a 5 minute walk to the Pioneer Hall at FW. You'll pass by the petting zoo and pony rides (check the times on those though if thinking on stopping) ...

See your from Rockland ... grew up in Suffern ... Parents still live there, lots of relatives in the county too!

justcruisin,

Thanks for the boat suggestion.

We live in Suffern! What a small world! (You can start singing it now.)
