Hoop Meal Questions

I am booked for the Hoop Dee Doo Review and have a few questions about the food.

1. What kind of salad dressing is on the salad? Do you have options or is it all pre-made with just the one kind?

2. I don't like BBQ or Beans. Can I request just the chicken & potatoes?

1. The salad is pre-made and when we went in Dec it was already on the table when we arrived.

2.The meal is served "family style" so if no one in your party wanted those items I'm sure you could say you don't want them.

Have fun! I tried this morning to book HDDR for Sept and at 90 days all shows were filled!

The salad has a vinaigrette dressing. It isn't strong-tasting. Yes, as the previous poster said it's pre-made and when you walk in it is already on the table.

As the previous poster says, the meal is served family style in buckets. Just don't ask your party to pass the beans. If nobody wants them, you could mention to your server that you want only the chicken and potatoes brought to the table.

just to let you know that the food was great when we went in 2007, but we go for the show not for food, it is a great show, we are going in sept-09, and that is a must see show for us, hope you enjoy

The food is poor. The show is fun. Since we've seen it a couple of times, we don't bother anymore. Far better ways to spend the money or the TS credits.

My family loved the show and the meal. We didn't ask for 2nds on anything nor did we finish anything all the way except the potatoes.

Does anyone know what they will do for food for a child that is lactose intollerant? Would they have french fries?

They will serve french fries or possibly dairy free mashed potatoes so long as you request this at least 48 hours ahead of time. When you make your adr ask for the phone number to call them direct and they will walk you through all the options for a dairy free meal. The ribs and chicken do not contain dairy. If your child does not like these you can talk to them about getting a hot dog or something different. We did this on our last two trips and had no problems. They have rice dream vanilla ice cream for dessert in place of strawberry shortcake.

This will be our first dinner show, so I wasn't sure how it will work compared to the TS restaurants.

She won't eat the ribs, but likes chicken. I don't think she will eat mashed potatoes-even I don't like them.

The food at Hoop is good - and you can get french fries. You can also get salad without the dressing - just request it. This is a MUST do for us every year - always fun & plenty of food even for picky eaters. If you have special requests, just let them know in advance and they are very accomidating. By the way, we will also be there Oct 1st - the 15th, and plan to hit Hoop De Do at least once while we are there.

We just got back last night and went to Hoop Dee Doo Monday night on our last night there. We ALL loved it! The food is good and the show is GREAT! We were all laughing and ranged in age from 4 -65. Fun was had by all and I highly recommend seeing it. It will be a definite must see when we go back! The food is in buckets and you can request extras of everything. There is also cornbread. I was so into the show that I really didn't pay much attention to the food, but it was good. Hope you enjoy it as well. Have fun!
