Hoop-dee-doo

The food, which is what this forum is about, was horrible. Fatty, cold and served in a bucket. It was terrible.

The show...how corny can you get? If you love NASCAR you might like it. Otherwise rent some old Hew Haw TV shows and you can get the same lame jokes!

I love NASCAR....go Dale Jr! :lmao: Guess that makes me corny.....can't wait for our ADR to HDDR, it's one of the ADR's I'm most excited about trying. :cool1:

cornbread
Are they still serving the cornbread? I loved the loaves of bread they used to have with the honey butter. I was delicious.

Going to try this with my DS10 in Sept.

Can anyone show me some PICS?

Yes they still have cornbread...good cornbread! Here are some other pictures as well

Awwwwwww...it was over 8 years ago!!!! :lmao: I was younger, thinner, and prettier...now I have a kid...don't judge me!!!;)

We sat right in the front row...the tables along the stage. The CM appeared just as I was going to dig into my Strawberry Shortcake dessert.:scared1: My now DH saved my dessert from being collected and although it was all melty, it was the perfect end to a FUN night (if you call putting on a pink ruffle tutu and being laughed at hysterically by strangers "FUN"). :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

LOL!!!! Thats where we were last time....every so often the guy that wears the hat in the show would stop and ask if I was "getting this" on my video! DD was mortified. :) I :lovestruc HDDR and I'm not a NASCAR fan, imagine that!!

Hmm...I guess only a "certain type" of person loves Nascar? What's your point?

But not for the cars!! It's the only large sporting event that there is a line for the men's room and not for the lady's room!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It was awesome to be able to go to the bathroom, get my lunch, and see DH STILL standing in line to use the men's room! :car:

Payback is sweet!:thumbsup2

I can't stand Nascar, but I loved HDD! :rotfl:

We went on June 9th for the first time and were seated at the 2 person table right at the front center of the stage (#13). I was totally amazed! The CM's did include us in their skits, but not in a way that was intrusive. They just talked with us and made casual, quick comments to us.

The show was great and a lot of fun. The food was also surprisingly very tasty! The salad was soo good! I love the dressing. We also scarfed down the real mashed potatoes with chunks of potato in them. The ribs were very tender and perfectly cooked. My wife asked for more BBQ sauce and our server brought some very quickly. The fried chicken was moist and delicious, but we mostly ate the ribs and even got a second serving! The only disappointment was the beans as they were not cooked enough (crunchy actually) and were very spicy.

The strawberry shortcake was a delicious way to end the meal.

It was a totally fun evening. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all reviews (and the sweater tip). I just booked it for our trip in Aug.

Hmmm...where to start?
1. The food has been great every time we have eaten here. Not sure what happened in your case.
2. There is a reason the Hoop Dee Doo is the longest running dinner show in the United States: it's a great show! If you go here and get upset about corny humor you have done no research into what this show is about or Disney is about for that matter.
3. What exactly does your inference to NASCAR have to do with anything? I am a college educated professional who happens to love American motorsports. That stereotype about NASCAR died about 15 yrs ago. Try to keep up.
4. BTW, the show was called Hee Haw, not Hew Haw. I was not a fan of the show but I do know what it was called and how to spell it.

I love this show!!! I desperately want to be the can can girl!!! They never pick me. :sad1:

I know the feeling. We have been 7 times, all different times of the year, and people all around us get picked...even people that we have gone with and sat at our table, and every year I hope and pray that I will be the one....but NOPE..:confused3 I just don't get it!!!:worship: please let me be picked when we return in March!!! ;)

ps...OP thanks for the review. obviously we agree or we wouldn't go back each time...even with the extreme price increases.
