Thinking of reserving the HDD for my DH, DD, and myself for June. DD is 16, very health-concious eater, and doesn't like fried chicken or ribs. Does anyone know what the vegetarian options are there?? We have gone there many times before she developed these habits!!

You have to call ahead to Pioneer Hall directly a few days before your PS. I'm sorry I don't have the #, I always have to call Disney Dining to get it. The option they suggest is the pasta, but that's really gross too, so ask what else is available. I've read that you can request other vegetarian options from other restaurants but I've never tried it.

Maybe the mac & cheese from the "kids" area? :)

A salad and some fruit and it wouldn't be a bad meal.

(We are vegetarians too, and decided not to do Hoop De Doo for that very reason, though)

They're great about it. I mentioned it when I made my reservation, and when we checked into our hotel, there was a message from HDDMR to pick up our tickets at Guest Services. When we went to Guest Services, there was a note on the tickets to call in about a special menu request, so the Guest Services CM called, and let me speak to the guy. He asked if I was vegan, vegetarian or if I could eat fish. There were a few choices available. I'm sorry, I can't remember all of them, but I know one was Pasta Primavera, and the other was fish, which I chose to have grilled. It came with beautiful roasted veggies and a potato.
The bread and salad and corn were all great, but the waiter warned me that the beans contained lard (a la meat), so I skipped those.
The food was all really good!

Never skip a place just cause you're a vegetarian! They've always got an option or two for you.

We learned that this trip. DD9 wanted to go to WC for her birthday. We knew that there was a veggie pasta dish  according to Allears. They had changed the menu since then to a dish my DH loved. While he ate that, I had the all you can eat skillet! :earboy2:

I want to do the HDDR next time so I need to scope out the Veggie choice for DH. ('Ohana's too)

Wow - the grilled fish sounds great - I'd even prefer that over the fried chicken and ribs, and my daughter would love it! Thanks so much, eveyone, for your responses!
