I've never been to HDD so I'm not familiar with the seating arrangements. Is your family seated at their own table or do you dine with strangers? DH will not be ok with this if he has to eat with strangers (like Biergarten). How big are the tables? Would a family of 5 get their own table?

you get your own table. we've gone twice with our family of 5 and had our own table each time. it's a really fun show!

HOOP-DEE-DO-REVIEW SEATING INFO:

1) HDDR tables are assigned in category by the date of the ressie.
2) They are manually assigned on 7th day before the show date.
3) Last minute ressies are assigned to the next open table in order.
4) There are no requests allowed for tables.
5) Earlier ressies get the better tables.
6) Exception: #044 & #045, kept last minute handicapped guests.
7) Table numbers have meaning,
. . . EXAMPLE: table #052
. . . 0 = floor-level
. . . 5 = fifth-row-from-front
. . . 2 = second-table-from-left
8) Tables may be moved around to accommodate number of guests.
9) Only one family/group is seated per table (usually). *
10) Distribution of tables and categories.
. . . Cat-1 tables are main floor, to-row8,are the best seats
. . . Cat-2 tables are the seven tables in row9 on main floor
. . . Cat-2 tables are the last four on left/right wings
. . . Cat-2 tables are the eight rear balcony tables facing stage
. . . Cat-3 tables are the eight tables on both balcony sides
. . . Cat-2 and Cat-3 tables may have posts in the viewing way
. . . Cat-3 tables require you to turn around to see
11) Tickets are picked up
. . . up to 7-days early at Concierge or any Guest Services (GS)
. . . up to 2-hours before performance at concierge or GS
. . . at show time or with 2-hrs before showtime only Box Office
. . . HDDR left window is a Concierge Desk, right is Box Office

NOTE1: There are four large tables for big families. If there
are no big families (which seldom happens), they will mix small
families of 2-4 to fill the tables. This allows HDDR to maximize
the seating, and revenue.

NOTE2: I often assign seats for HDDR, and wince when I put folks
behind pillars or have the pillars in their line-of-sight.

Technically you'll have your own table but they are so close it's like sitting together with strangers :lmao: That being said we still had a great time :thumbsup2

Some portions of the show take place out in the audience so if your view of the stage is less than ideal you should still get to see some good stuff.

So it is still done this way? There was rumor that the tables were assigned as of the pick up date which kind of stinks if your reservation is the day you arrive. :/

To End Confusion, hope this helps:
1) Seat assignments are based upon WHEN you made the ressie.
2) This is completely fair.
3) You want to be there, then you make your ressie early.
4) It would be unfair otherwise.
5) Example:
. . . someone wants HDDR the first day of their vacation, 15th-thru-21st
. . . they make their ressie 3-mths ahead of time
. . . so, they pick up their ticket on the 15th when they check-in at resort
. . . someone wants it the last day of their vacation, 1st-thru-15th
. . . as a last-minute decision, they buy & pick up their tickets on the 8th
. . . under the rumor, the second person gets the better table
. . . pretty unfair to the person who made the ressie way ahead of time
6) For last-minute purchasers, they get the next EMPTY table(s) in their ticket category.

NOTE: I actually do the assigning from time-to-time. We put the
people at tables solely based upon the date/time they made their
ressie. The ONLY exception is due to very specific disabilities, and,
no a GAC card does not count since the card is used for too many
disabilities.

Question:

Made my ressies months ago. When I check in at the resort, tell the front desk that I have a ressie for HDDR and I will receive tickets?

Thanks for the help. I'm glad I read this thread. I was going to treat this like any other ressie and just show up at the time I booked it for....

you can get the tickets either at resort concierge or at ft wilderness just before the show. might be a bit of a line at showtime which is why doing it at the resort may be preferable.
