So it is still done this way? There was rumor that the tables were assigned as of the pick up date which kind of stinks if your reservation is the day you arrive. :/
To End Confusion, hope this helps:
1)
Seat assignments are based upon WHEN you made the ressie.
2) This is completely fair.
3) You want to be there, then you make your ressie early.
4) It would be unfair otherwise.
5) Example:
. . . someone wants HDDR the first day of their vacation, 15th-thru-21st
. . . they make their ressie 3-mths ahead of time
. . . so, they pick up their ticket on the 15th when they check-in at resort
. . . someone wants it the last day of their vacation, 1st-thru-15th
. . . as a last-minute decision, they buy & pick up their tickets on the 8th
. . . under the rumor, the second person gets the better table
. . . pretty unfair to the person who made the ressie way ahead of time
6) For last-minute purchasers, they get the next EMPTY table(s) in their ticket category.
NOTE: I actually do the assigning from time-to-time. We put the
people at tables solely based upon the date/time they made their
ressie. The ONLY exception is due to very specific disabilities, and,
no a GAC card does not count since the card is used for too many
disabilities.
