We absolutely loved it when we were there in Sept. this was before the whole tier thing, but our seats would have been considered tier two, which were still great seats. We like to CLEAN, corny humor that the show has, we thought the food was great, just remember it's Fried Chicken, BBQ Ribs, Corn Bread and such and all you can eat! We are taking my family this August and have reservations to do again.

That being said it is not for the following people:
Those with no sense of humor
People who hate sitting and watching a show
Those that hate table service because it takes too long
for that matter impatient people



Ok, really it is not for everyone, just do a search on one of the major video sites for Hoop De Doo there is video of them on there.

OK...I just checked out video clips of Hoop De Doo on youtube. It looks really cute Not something I'd go to every visit, but now that I've seen a little, I'll probably plan it for next time. I think it would be an enjoyable evening. It's probably not for everybody's taste, though.

It didn't look like Hee Haw to me...it reminded me more of...Oklahoma/Paint Your Wagon/Music Man, with a little of DL's Billy Hill and the Hillbillies show thrown in. These performers seemed quite talented, and like they were having fun, even though they are doing the same show night after night. Cornball humor? Yeah, a bit...but American entertainment, folk songs, and fashion were a little cornball around the turn of last century -- think of vaudeville

BTW, if you ever go to DL, the Billy Hill show is always a kick, it's free (you can purchase food but you don't have to), it's a little different each time we go (they may change it yearly), you can get off your feet and out of the heat -- and the performers are also really talented.
