Last night I was able to attend a castmember showing of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue. It was my first time seeing the show, so I did not know exactly what to expect. Aside from the menu, I did not really research much about this experience, so I really did not know what to expect.
Because it was a castmember showing, they were combining parties to fill the tables. My understanding is that this is not normally done at the regular shows. I will say that I don't like sharing tables with strangers to begin with, but I thought it was even more awkward with a meal that is served family style. The two other people turned out to be great company for the show, so we lucked out in that regard. Because we were sharing the table with others, I did not get any photos of the food. I did get photos during the show, but not as many as I would have liked - because I really got into the show.

We knew going into it that we would be sharing a table. We actually had a really good table, a four-top right in the middle of Pioneer Hall. Had I read more about the actual show in advance, I probably would have been a little anxious about what was going to happen. What I did not get a photo of was when the entire cast encircled out entire table and danced in circles around it. But being in the middle of the hall allowed us to have front row seats to a very good duet of Oh Shenandoah, with banjo accompaniment.

Oh Shenandoah segued into a more lively tune (I can't remember what it was) with everyone waving their napkins.
This was an 8:30pm show, which started a little late. I was tired going into it, so I wasn't sure I would enjoy it that much, but I can't believe how fun this show is! The food was fine. I like the menu and there wasn't anything disappointing about the food, but there really wasn't anything exceptional about it either. But the show was well worth making the trek to Pioneer Hall for a later than normal dinner. The entire cast was incredibly talented and kept the audience engaged throughout. It was never on my list of things at WDW that I really wanted to do, because I really didn't understand what it was. This is something I look forward to introducing family and friends to. Even though I did not pay to attend, I think the experience is well worth the price.
