Hoop Dee Doo Revue..pay in advance?

It has been many years since we've seen this show..but throughly enjoyed it when we did. Would like to see again during our August visit. When I booked the campground castmember indicated that I would need to pay in advance for the show.
I remember the last time we saw it..they needed your credit card to secure the reservation..but didn't actually charge it until closer to the date of your reservations. There was cancellation policy of a few days prior to the show.
Was told that they actually charge you credit card when you make the reservation now...anyone else experience this?

Anybody...maybe I should ask in a dining forum? Just thought some of you campers might have gone to show recently and if they charged your card ahead of time?

I think that was the case in the previous years that I've been. If you don't make the reservation, they'll charge you as well.

Back Yard BBQ works the same way.
Just be sure to cancel well enough in advance if you don't plan on going. They will credit your card if done according to their directions.

We went to the HDDR on our trip in Feb this year. Yes, you do pay in advance now. We reserved our table 3 months ahead and had to pay in full at that time. I got the impression that this sells out most of the time. I bet that Disney wants this treated more like entertainment that you buy tickets for than just a PS for dinner you can cancel easily. I know you can cancel this ahead of time, but just can't remember the amount of notice required right now, sorry, maybe 48hrs?
