Looking for comments if you have attended this dinner show. My wife and I are handicapped and is this facility set up for that? I have not been to Ft Wildneress so don't they lay of the land. Also, I understand that you need to make reservations. If this is just for the kids....think we will pass, but your comments will help make our decision.

We did HDDR last August. My dd, 11, has wanted to give it a try for quite awhile now. Our feeling is this....the food was okay. My dh isn't really a rib lover or chicken. And he really dislikes baked beans. That left him with little to eat but he made do. I really have no big issue with the food. It's pretty standard Disney fare. The show is really cute but corney. It is a typical ole west stage show. It was fun, even for the adults. I would think that being handicapped wouldn't pose a big problem. But, to be honest, that isn't something I paid attention to.
You do need to make PS for this show as soon as you know you are going. I just booked it for Oct '06 for my dd's 13th birthday. You are seated according to when you book.
So, our feelings are this....my dh doesn't care if he ever does it again...I think it's okay and fun, but maybe not for every trip. But, there are others who do this every single trip. So, there are a lot of different opinions here.

We love it! DH, myself and 2 dd's. Dh was picked to be in the show so that made it even more special. We laughed the whole time. The show is like the old vaudeville stuff. Food is good. with beer, soda and milk. There are two levels of tables and I do recall seeing a ramp off to the left of the main entrance. I agree this show is not for everyone but we love it  My dd's want to go again this time around but we have gone to the show 2 years in a row and decided to try the Luau this time. Hope this helps.

Try it you may like it. When you make your ps make sure you tell them about your disability. Please give yourself a good hour plus to get there, if you are staying on property. If you have children and the menu is not to their liking tell them that too and they can bring them something else.

It's a don't miss show and we found the food excellent. It's chicken, ribs, salad, beans and a strawberry shortcake for desert. Great entertainment threaded throughout the meal. We've seen the show twice and I'd do it again, it's that much fun. By no means is it just for kids. Can't speak to handicap accessible. Should be though. It is a bit of a trek, depending on where you are staying. I don't know when you are travelling but reservations often can be difficult to get, it's been that popular in the past, booking up to two years in advance.

If you get the chance, see it. I think it is one of the best Disney has to offer. It is corny but being from Indiana and surrounded by corn I like the show and the food. We are going for our fourth time this coming May..smjj

After reading all the wonderful reviews of this show I went in expecting to much....I was a little dissappointed in the show itself....I was cute but not all that great...I laughed 3 times I think...Also the food was decent and I really liked alll you could drink beer that made up for everything elde...LOL....all in all I would try it at least once....I doubt we do it again....This year I want to try the Luau....

We are going this year and I called about handicapped because my mom will be getting knee surgery 2 weeks before we leave and will be in a wheelchair and they told us that would be fine and they would put us on the lower level. I think you will have a great time...the jokes are kinda corney, but they still made me laugh. :sunny:
