Of all the times we have been to Disney, we have yet to go to this. I want some good honest opinions!! I know it's expensive, but if it's worth it, that's okay. I just don't want to spend that much $$ and the kids not like it. Ours are 11, 8, and 4- so do any of your kids in this range love it?

I am about to make our dining ressies, so I would like to make this 1st-I know it fills up quickly.Thanks!!

There are tons of review threads on this place (I know the search function stinks) but *most* people really enjoy this. Yes, it is expensive but you have to realize that you are paying for a performance as well as for a meal. It's not "just a dinner." Your 11 and 8 year old are the PERFECT ages for this show and the 4 year old will enjoy it too even though the jokes will be over their head.

Some of our best Disney memories have been at Hoop de doo! I have NEVER seen my kids laugh so hard. In fact we have tried other events but keep coming back. Your kids are at the perfect age for this! Enjoy!!!

Our 3 boys always requested HDR. They were not the princess loving type at all so this was perfect. The food is all things they loved, BBQ and fried chicken. I think your kids will love it.

I am excited after reading the glowing reviews. I have this booked for the second day of our trip for our family which consists of a girl 7 and boy who just turned 12. I will make sure I get some pictures of them enjoying this fun night out.

When you sit down at your table, there will be cornbread and delicious honey butter waiting for you.

The waitress will take your drink order and bring you the salad. The salad will be in a bucket and it is similar to the type of salad you get at the Olive Garden (an Italian style dressing is already on the salad).

Then you will get your fried chicken, ribs, corn, and beans at the same time. The fried chicken is decent, I've never cared for the ribs as they are not the most tender. Corn and beans are fine.

The dessert is very good--a strawberry shortcake that is simple yet delicious.

I've replied to all the posts I've seen about the HDDR since I joined the board. It was my FAVORITE part of our trip last September!!!

There were 8 of us (5 adults and 3 kids ages 8,4,3) and each of us LOVED the show!! The food was really good too. My Brother In Law loved the chicken so much that he whispered to her "OMG this chicken is so good you should put it in your purse!" We laughed SOOO hard about this! No one really ate the ribs as we are not rib people so I can't speak about them. We loved the Cornbread, salad, chicken, and corn. I do not eat Strawberries so I was disappointed about the Strawberry Shortcake but everyone else liked it.

Don't hold me to this, but I think if you don't like Strawberry Shortcake they can bring you a small dish of ice cream or something. I think we had to do this with my son one year (due to food allergies). They brought him some soft-serve ice cream.

That is good to know. I'll be sure to ask our server at the beginning of the meal. I have an issue with seeds....I just can't stand them between my teeth!
