I would like to apologize in advance if this is not the proper forum to ask this, but this forum has the worst search tools that I have ever seen.

Anyway, back to my question, I just called and tried to make reservations for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue for our early December trip. I wanted to know what seats were available for Dec. 9th and much to my shock the cast member couldn't tell me. I told here that I didn't want to spend the money if I was going to have to sit in the balcony, She said I wouldn't find out what my seats were until I arrived for the performance. This is terrible. You used to book this directly with Pioneer Hall and they could tell you exactly what seats were available. Now its absolutely a crap shoot? And if you don't like your seats, your stuck for the $50+ per person?

Can anyone tell me if there is anyway to tell what your seats are going to be? Can I call Pioneer Hall 7 days before the performance and will they tell me then? I am just beside myself at how unbelievably blind they want you to be as far as what you are paying for. I sat in the balcony 10 years ago and I have absolutely no desire to shell out better than $150 to do that again.

Is there a best night of the week to get good seats? Should I book the late performance? I'm starting to ramble (rant?) here so I'll just shut up and let you all educate me.

Unfortunately, until the end of this year, you will not find out your seat assignment until you pick up your tickets.

Starting in 2007, they have arranged the dinner shows by three "tiers". Tier one being the best seating, Tier 2 being next, and Tier 3 being up in the balcony.

FYI: The Dining Plan will still include the dinner shows, but for Tiers 2 & 3 only.

I'm not sure if this helps but we went to a 9:30 show in late Aug. and the place was only half filled...they didn't even fill the balcony or the back half of the floor. I was also told the earlier you book your show the better your seats are. Since you are booking 3 months in advance I would think you might have decent seats. I booked 4 months in advance and was quite happy with our seats. :sunny:

we stayed earlier this year and sat in the balcony...and we loved it. Our 2 year old was able to turn his seat around and see everything. If we were on the main floor he would have had to look around people. Also the entertainers come up to the balcony and get everyone involved into the show.

I booked our ADRs for HDDR for me and my mom (for our trip next week) this past April. In June my ex decided to go with us, so I had to call, cancel, and rebook, but the CM said she would make a notation that the only reason we were cancelling was to add another person. A few weeks ago I suddenly realized that Hoop de Do didn't have an elevator. My mom is in an ECV and can't do stairs, so I called to have them make the notation and the CM said it was a good thing I did, because we had been placed in the balcony. How she knew I don't know. She also said that anyone who books with an ECV or wheelchair must be placed on the lower floor, so even if you originally had a table downstairs you may be bumped upstairs if someone in an ECV/WC books after you and needs that table.

Wow,

I called and told WDW dining that my wife has a bad hip (which she does) and can't do stairs. I was told specifically that Hoop Dee Doo has an elevator.
