We are going in June 2018. Does anyone know the usual times of the show?

Also, we are considering the DDP for our trip (I’ll work it all out closer to our trip and decide). I know it’s not the best value since it uses two credits, but I read somewhere that Cat 1 can be booked for the 8:30 show only. Is this still the case?

Thanks, in advance.

Yes - when using the Dining Plan you can book
Category 2 or 3 at the 4:00 & 6:15 shows &
Category 1 for the 8:30 show.

My family has only booked Category 2 and our seats have always been great. On another note we find the value to be fine even at 2 credits. It's an AYCTE meal, a show, and beer, wine, & sangria is included - as well as the gratuity.

Thank you so much! We have 2 adults and 2 children so the kids may be the tipping point for us to get the plan.

One more question...how long does the show last?

I know it’s not the best value since it uses two credits

1) True.
2) HDDR for two credits/coupons is a TERRIBLE value.
3) But, then again, DDP has already been proven (by several reviewers and websites) to be a bad value for guests.

Believe me when I say..I will absolutely run the numbers before I book it. :)

We went to Hoop Dee Doo for the first time last week. We were using the Deluxe Dining Plan, so it wasn't a huge deal for us to use 2 credits because we had plenty.

We had a fantastic time. The show was hillarious and the food was really good. We went to the 830 show so that we could have Tier 1 seating. We were at a table right next to the stage, it was great.

I concur about the Category 2 seating - we did the show about a week ago, and we were almost right below the stage even though we were Category 2. We did the 6:15 show.

We went last fall and booked category 2 but when we got there the seating was so light we sat second row back from the stage. As a family we liked it, kids really enjoyed it. The show is 2 hours but if you are taking disney transportation it is a bit of a time suck to get there and back. We did the 4:00 show and used it as an afternoon break late lunch/early dinner and rode the boat back and forth to MK.

one thing to remember that Cat 2 seating could put you up stairs with only going up steps if that could be a problem for anyone in your group. as far as seeing it could be better upstairs than in the back of main floor

I thought about doing the 8:30 show just for the Cat 1 seating but I have a 6 and (will be) 4 year old, plus we will be doing MK the next day (our only park day of our mostly resort only trip so we will want to be up early), so I think we settled on the 6:15 show. Thanks for the reply!

I think we have decided to go with the 6:15 show, as well. 4 is too early and 8:30 too late. Thank you!

Thanks for the reply. We will be at WL so we will just boat over.

Thank you for that info. We have no mobility issues, so we should be okay! :)
