This is our 6th trip to WDW and we finally are going to see Hoop Dee Doo - I had a few questions:

1. We plan to be at Blizzard Beach that day and are staying off-site. When would you recommend we head out from BB and how do I get to Hoop Dee Doo from there via car? Our ressie is for 5pm.

2. I read a prior post where you can request a pb&j or pizza, and also saw someone asked for mac and cheese. I have two kids ages 10+11, one of which is very picky. Can anyone let me know if the pizza or mac and cheese is any good?

3. I am awful with heights and just made the ressie tonite for next friday's show. She could not tell me how booked it was but did make a note to try and sit me level 1. Has anyone done this and did you have any problems? (now i wonder if on-site guests get first shot a lower level...we are staying at AKL beginning that Sunday which I did not mention)....

4. No discts via Disney Visa or AE right??

5. What do you do after the show? (Are there any good things to do a Fort Wilderness or close by....)

Thanks.

From Blizzard Beach to Hoop you have two options for travel, but I will give you the easiest way. Exit BB to the right and follow the signs to Magic Kingdom. When you go through the MK toll plaza stay as far right as you can, after the plaza take the single far right line straight ahead, it will fork (just past the toll plaza) go to the right. You will go past the first entrance for Fort Wilderness (which is actually the camper check in) and make a Left into the parking lot (just before the blue and white security booth). You would need to park in that lot and walk up to the bus stop. Take the Purple, Orange or Yellow bus (which ever arrives first) and ride it to the Settlement Depot. I would give yourselves at least an hour (maybe an hour and a half) to get there, take the bus and be there in time to check in.

You can ask for substitues for the kids, most of the time they can get you anything that they serve at the Trails End Buffeteria, but if you want to make sure and ask in advance you can call the dining line 407-WDW-Dine and have it notated on your reservation. P.S. the pizza is pretty good :)

The tables are booked based on when you booked your reservation, HOWEVER there is a team that all they do is assign tables for Hoop and Luau, if they have a request like that they have the ability to move things around (since no one knows until they arrive what table they are assigned they are non the wiser).

Currently I believe you are correct there are no discounts for 2004. They do offer them sometimes though so always ask when booking.

After the show, there is the Wagon rides which is first come first serve the run from 7pm-9:30pm nightly and offer a 45 minute wagon ride through FW (it is really cool). They pick up just to the right/across the way from Pioneer Hall (by the DVC kiosk) $8 per person.

The Campfire would be an option as well, The Campfire Sing-Along w/ Chip N' Dale begins at 8pm which is then followed by a movie at 8:40pm (this is free)... the movies change every night but are Disney movies... it is pretty cool If you are talking about this coming Friday 09/03 the movie scheduled is "Freaky Friday"

That's pretty much all I can come up with. Have a great time :)

When we booked last minute, IM pretty sure we have the "worst" seats in the house, which was a table in the back corner of the ground floor. You shouldn't have a problem being seated on the ground floor, but I would arrive early and double check the assignment when you check in.

And btw I put quotes around "worst" because the table was still great!

I heard there was a boat ride from magic kingdom to HDDR. Is that true? How much time do I need to get there? Is there a cost for the boat ride? What time does the boat leave?

HDDR transportation -

Hi Kristen821,
The boat from the MK is the regularly scheduled one that goes to the WL (1st stop) and FW that runs quite often (maybe every 15-20 min.), at no charge to Disney guests. Pioneer Hall is just a hop, skip and jump from the dock at FW. We like to go to the HDDR just that way, as it is a nice relaxing boat ride I would allow30-40 minutes from the time of arrival at the MK. A great show!!!! Enjoy!!!

Thanks Bob!
I have a dd2.5 Who is pretty active and doesn't like to sit for long. Does anyone have any opinions on taking a loud 2.5 year old who doen't like to sit and will let everyone know if she is unhappy. My mom offered to watch her while we go to hddr, I would like to take her if she would enjoy it. Should I take her or leave her with my mom and meet up with them after the show?
