hoop dee doo pre-payment when using DDP

we want to make a reservation for hoop dee doo for next May. it says that paymet is due when making booking. however we are on the DDP, and want to use 2 credits each to pay for the meal. If i book, Will they charge my card now, or is this just a security backup for 'no shows'.

If you do it online it will charge it and you will get a refund. If you call, they will take it for a security deposit and only charge if you no-show.

You will need to pick up your tickets at your resort before you head over to Fort Wilderness. When you pick those up, they will deduct the 2 TS credits per person from your meal balance. Just an fyi...

(Please be advised that not all restaurants participate in the Disney Dining Plan. Please check your Dining Plan information for participating restaurants.) Retrieve your reservation

Put in your resort reservation # and the system will auto note your DP info. You will then be able to book (dinner shows/CRT) with no pre-paid charges. Your confirmation page should show $0.00 with only a credit card guarantee requirement.

It happens a good bit sadly...

Pretty much, if you try it online, make sure your TOTAL to be charged to your card says $0. If it says an amount it will charge your card, DDP or not.

If the system doesn't recognize the reservation, then you will have to call.

I didn't realize there were issues with the online dining system for pre-paid adr's so thank you pp's for pointing it out to me.

My online totals for both 09 and 10 came out to $0...however, it now appears I was of the fortunate ones not to experience any problems.

i did it online, although i associated it to the dining plan, i was still charged as shannonstar said i would be.
does anyone have any experience of getting a refund to your card, in order to use dining plan credits. is it relatively simple to do, i dont want to risk losing my booking.
how long should it take for the refund to show up on my card. we are using a pre-paid credit card, and will need the funds while we are there. we have booked the dinner show for mid-vacation, but i was planning on sorting it out when we arrive, if i can (we arrive may 7th, hddr 13th)
