Hoop Dee Doo OOP?

I thinking that we may want to pay out of pocket for Hoop Dee Doo. I would cost of $150 to see the show 2 adults and 2 kids. That's 2 TS credits. Last year we had a couple dinners that were were in the $120-150 range and that would only be one credit. Any thoughts?

I would do the same just as I would pay OOP for any 2TS restaurant. But of course that only makes sense if you are positive you will use all of your TS credits at other restaurants. Perhaps it would be wise to plan your night at the Hoop toward the end of your stay just in case.

Happy planning!

Do keep in mind, though, that the Hoop-Dee-Doo and the other 2TS dinner shows do offer far better values-per-point than Cinderella's, so if Cinderella's is on your list, you should surely do that one OOP.

I paid for it OOP last year and again this year. It doesn't seem like a good value for 2 TS meals to me. JMHO.

We have NO PROBLEM using the TS's :) Thanks for re-affirming my thoughts.

Thanks - but I think I will get a DIS ban for my next statement - but we have no desire to do Cindy in the Castle. DD6 expresses no interest whatsoever, nor do I. I know its magical and all that, but DD's gets her Cindy fix each year at 1900. OTOH, DH wants to eat in the Castle, DH thinks that I should take DD to b-fast there this year, (but he has ulterior motives, he wants me and DD to be gone and he and DH can sleep) ha!

LOL, neither do we. I would love it if a 2 TS option for the DDP were to be added.

But I know there are some people who do have trouble using all the TS. I remember a post from about a year ago. A fairly large group used none of their TS credits. Yikes! So the poster didn't think DDP was good value.:rotfl:

We used to love having lunch at the castle when it was still a la carte. Much better food than is offered now and for a far more reasonable price. The setting is just so pure Disney. I do miss that but I guess it is what the market will bear.:confused3

We will have too many TS meals as we plan to visit sea world and Universal so we will pay oops for dinner on those days.We will use our c/s as a take out to have for lunch or for breakfast.
I will use the extra credits to have dinner at Cinderellas castle and breakfast at chief mickeys on my 40th birthday the day before we leave.
I dont mind paying oops for the meals off site as we got the dinning plan free.

You've got to be kidding me. Right? They didn't use ANY TS's. I need to find that poster and go to WDW when they are there, perhaps they will sell me the TS's "under the table"

ITS A JOKE PEOPLE!!!!

I am also trying to plan which meal to pay OOP for as we have 6 days of DDP and will be there for 7 days. Our plan is 1 TS on most days, but we are doing dinner at CRTso 2 credits. I was originally planning to pay OOP for CRT, but now I think it will be better to pay for 50's prime time and another one like that. If we all order burgers and fries or something like that, it will probably be cheaper to do that. CRT will cost us $200.00 or so with tax and tip. It is so not worth it, but my little princess....

So far I have ADR for dinner at Ohana, dinner at Coral Reef, lunch at 50's prime time, dinner at CRT, breakfast at Cape May Cafe and dinner at Crystal Palace.
Any advice? Thanks!

They used NONE of their TS??????? Oh My. We're always using an extra TS or so as we love to have a sit down b-fast once or twice a trip (as well as sitdown dinners every night).

One Strategy, which the Mrs and I are considering on our April trip is to use 2TS's for one person and pay for the second. This works for us because our nights and TS's synch up well. Plus it's just the two of us this trip. This way we use all out TS's and only have to go OOP for 1 meal, not two.

Denoending on your situation, this may work.

oooh, Zdad........ didn't think of doing that. That may work for us with our Hoop de Doo problem. I'd hate to use 4 TS but if we hold on to 4 TS we may not use them. But 2 TS we'd use.

Thanks for the thought!
