Are either of these shows appropriate for a 2 and 4 year old? I don't want to overwhelm them or "scare" them, but I've never talked to anyone who has attended either show, so I'm wondering if this is something we should go for or not.

We will be taking them to Chef Mickey and some of the other fun character meals.

Thanks!

We have been to HDDR with our kids 3 & 5. We had a great time. While the kids didn't get all of the story line of the show, since it was a musical, there were lots of opportunities to clap along and yell yahoo! At the end they handed out washboards and spoons to each table to play along with the last number. My kids had a great time. It also helped a lot that our table was right at the bottom of the stairs of the stage, so we had performers walking along and singing near our table. We even have pics where one of the performers was putting her 2 fingers in the "v" sign above our son's head while we were trying to catch her in a photo while singing by our table. I think that if we had seats way in the back on the second level, it would not have been quite as interactive, but we were so lucky with our seating! Our dd3 eats very little, so from a $$ perspective, her admission was a waste since she ate a $25 piece of bread. Its not something we'll do every time we go to WDW, but is was certainly a fun memorable experience for us.

We took our dd to hoop de doo revue when she just turned two. I figured she would just be there for the ride, it was more for me, dh, my 11yo dd, and my 13yo brother in law. Well not only were the 11yo and 13yo laughing there heads off but the 2yo had a blast too. They made a huge fuss over her and were so very sweet to her. It is on our to do again list. It is on all of our top 3 favorite things to do at disney, and to think that the only reason I went is because dh went as a kid and insisted we go, I thought it would be super cheesy. It was a blast. Loved, Loved, Loved it. Did I mention it was great?

We've done both. They are both great. We did the bbq when DD was 3.

There are characters at that one, who come out several times throughout the meal. They stand on the dance floor, and the kids can line up for autographs. There is a live band, and the kids all seemed to have a blast dancing as well. The food was pretty good too.

The others have reviewed HDDR, and I agree with what they've said. It's hysterical. I've found DD really gets into that one. It's kind of "slap stick" funny. Know what I mean??

Good luck deciding!
