DH and I are thinking about doing HDD for our trip in Feb. I know surprisingly little about it and was hoping y'all could answer a few questions for me!

1. With the new (rumored) ADRs, will this fall under the 180 days or 90 days ADR?

2. There are several different categories of seating available- what's the best location to enjoy the show?

3. Will DS5 enjoy it?

4. Anything else I need to know to be 'in-the-know'???

Thanks everyone!

1. 90 days
2. Cat 1 I beleive is the best & that's what you want.
3. Definately!
4. Book it & have a great time. It's a fun place :thumbsup2

cat 1 is the best, but be aware if you are using the dining plan you wont be able to sit there, they are now reserving those for the "paying" customers.

We have sat in all sections and honestly have never gotten what we considered a bad area. We actually prefer cat 2 to cat 1. Your ds will enjoy it. Lots of fun for all ages. :)

I question the 90 day answer. When PS was day of, or day before it you were on site, HDDR took ressies a year out. Unless I see a link, I don't think anyone can be sure.

Thanks everyone- This will be something new we haven't done at WDW and sounds like we'll have a blast!!!

We went to HoopDeDoo this past May and my children (ages 8 and 10) loved it! Slapstick humor, cute jokes, messy food. What's not to love? LOL

We also went for the first time last year after many years of saying it was "too expensive". [Given that drinks and gratuity/tax is included in price, we are rethinking this logic!!]

We absolutely loved it and now is on our list of things to do each time. We were in Cat 1 and it was a great seat, but I think you will be fine with Cat 2 or 3.

There is a lot of food (and not all healthy!) and I would recommend trying for one of the early shows so you have a chance to digest dinner before bedtime.

You are going to have a blast. This is the best show and classic Disney.

Kids loved it! Somehow we did end up getting cat 1 seating last year even though we were on the dining plan - maybe we called back closer to the date? Anyway, it was a fun time for all! We were seated in the very front row so we had to crane our necks a bit but it was a phenomenal time. Food was just so-so.

If you are on the dining plan, you will use two table service credits and can sit in category 1 for the 9:30pm show only. I just did this a few weeks ago.
