We currently have a reservation in Category 3 for HDDR on our upcoming trip.

As a party of two, can we expect to be seated with other diners? Are they tables for 6? 8?

Do they serve portions of food to each family, or is it literally plunked down in the middle of the table for all?

Or, in other words, am I going to have to stare down a stranger to get the last drumstick, or will it only be DH I have to negotiate with?

Thanks in advance for any info!

I believe Cat 3 would put you on the 2nd level. That is just long tables pushed together...think of a one sided picnic table, with chairs that turn so you can see the action.
It is served family style, but it's not awkward. My family of 4 was seated in this section, and there is plenty of room, and plenty of food for everyone.
It's really not bad, and I generally don't like to share my food, even with family, but it was a great experience.

When DF and I did it, we were on the 2nd level on those long tables. We (the two of us) were served our own family style portion. We were placed at the end of the table and didn't have to speak with our neighbors. They basically have you just sitting next to each other b/c they are all swivel chairs so you can see the stage. I am not sure if there are any other cat 3 sections.

No fears - each party gets their own table, so you'll only have DH to contend with when it comes to fighting over that last drumstick ! Food is family-style but seating isn't !

(Btw, if you are somewhat quick eaters, you can get unlimited refills on whichever pieces of chicken you prefer !)

We (party of 2) had our own table. I've never seen other parties seated together there. You just have to share food with your family.

Thanks for the info! It's much appreciated!
