Has anyone done the Hoop Dee Doo show at Fort Wilderness? We are booked for a meal at Trails End which we really enjoyed last year, but was wondering if we should try this show as its something a bit different, but still the same sort of food . . . has anyone done it and what did you think? Is it worth two precious dining credits?!

Thanks

We went in Sept last year and really enjoy it. My kids 11,7 and 4 loved it too. The food was ribs, chicken and mash etc. The drink was unlimited as well. As for it being worth 2 credits I'm not sure, there are much better dining options available but if you aren't too fussy about having really good food the show is more than worth it. It was one of our kids highlights and I must say I laughed a lot too and we had a great night.

We went about 10 years ago, and it is a good family night out. A bit cheesy, but enjoyable!

We did it about 2 years ago, considering again for this August as we have free DDP. its either this again which we enjoyed or Spirit of Aloha that we have not tried.

Did it last August.....buckets of chicken & ribs, mashed potato etc.
Plenty of drinks...DW is just getting over the hang over!!!! :woohoo:

We prefered Aloha to Hoop -de -Doo. Hoop-de-Doo show was over as soon as we'd finished eating and all felt a bit 'rushed'. We enjoyed the Aloha although fairly 'weak' storyline, show carried on after you'd finished eating; Fire-eaters, Island dancing etc so felt more relaxed. (read this as more time to drink too!):goodvibes Only our opinion of course - some people don't like Aloha and rave about Hopp-de-Doo.

We didn't mind using two DDP plan credits as we never have a TS meal the day we arrive so had 'spare' credits. However this year we're doing a split stay, only at Disney 7 nights-so using two credits felt a 'waste'.

My advise to any-one booking Aloha-Book early so you get tier 2 seats-we've always had good seats on this level (tier 3 is a bit too far back for my liking).

We did this in 2007 - all of us: me, DH, DS (9 and 12 at the time) wondered what we were doing there. The food was plentiful and good, but we just did not "get" the entertainment. We put it down to an "American" thing. We also found the place freezing cold and wished we had jumpers with us! Tried to do Aloha that same holiday, but it was rained off and we ended up eating in the restaurant there which was to die for!

Thanks everyone! Sounds great so going to work on DH! He is worried it will be like the Dolly Parton show we saw a few years ago!
