A friend of mine is going to be in WDW in November and is planning to get ressies for the Hoop dee do. It looks like you can request seating...is floor or balcony better, and why?

Thanks,
SarahMay

I prefer to be on the floor in the first couple rows. It is interactive so you have a better chance of participating that way.
Some would rather not be part of the action so the back and balcony may be better.
Either way it's still a really good time.

That's pretty much it! Cat 2 seating is a good compromise.

We were in cat 2 on the floor. It wasn't bad except for this family at the table infront that let their kids stand on chairs. We moved our kids around so they could see better. When they pull people from the audience they do take people from the balcony too. It was a great show. My kids were 9,7 and 5 and they loved it.

It looks like you can request seating

1) You CANNOT request seating.
2) You can only select Cat-1, Cat-2 or Cat-3.
3) Seating is assigned on the basis of when you made you ressie.
. . . earliest ressie gets best seat in their category
. .. last ressie gets worst seat in their category

I always sit on the floor. We sat in the balcony once and it just really isn't the same.

We are AP and we were able to get cat 1. RIGHT b the stage we were and we were acknowledged by the cast. It was GREAT.

So glad you asked . . . I was looking for an answer myself! We're going in Nov. too. Thanks all!

We sat in the balcony and on the floor: front table, center stage, best table in the house.

We had fun both times, but the floor was a lot better. Really felt like we were part of the show, and the cast kept on waiving and winking to DD.

One thing we didn't like about the balcony is that you sit between the table and the balcony edge: so, you can't face the table to eat while watching the show.
